I love Danny Rampling: I travel to see him often and he's always so good it feels like a pleasure and not a chore. I've seen him play at various venues five times this year, and every time he's consistently good but always, always different. I was sooo excited to see he was playing a club that I acutally live close to, Careys in Coventry. It wasn't just that Danny was incredible, what would you expect of a DJ whose career spans so many years, but what delighted me was that Carey's itself did not disappoint. It could show some London clubs a thing or two in terms of its podium facilites. Two caged podiums that are not always occupied by the club dancers - great though they are, two areas either side of the dj box and a large raised area opposite. It was podium heaven! The sound system was great and the resident DJ, Ed Milton a revelation. I went to see the god that is Danny Rampling but I left impressed by Careys.
