I visited this Mish Mash on Friday 9th November for the first time and found the club to be pretty good but quite empty. Me and a few friends were dancing and enjoying ourselves. There was an incident in the club near the bar on the 1st floor that we noticed and saw both the victim and what we thought was the ssailant being taken outside by the bouncers. However, none of us had seen the incident and these things are fairly common so we didnt take much notice.
A few minutes later one of my friends was approached by a bouncer whilst he was dancing. The bouncer asked if he could talk to him. My mate said 'ok do you need me to go downstairs (where it was quieter)?' and the bouncer said yes. Once downstairs the bouncer signalled outside so my friend (of his own free will without any questions) went outside thinking the bouncer wanted to chat where it was quieter.
Once outside my friend asked the bouncer what he wanted to talk about and the bouncer replied with 'you know what'. The bouncer then proceeded to assault my friend (and their are a number of witnesses to this and not just friends) before explaning why he had asked my friend to leave the club.
Following the assault, the bouncer said that 'that was for him' whilst pointing to the victim who had previously been assaulted inside the club. The victim was now sat outside with friends awaiting the arrival of an ambulance. Following the bouncer's actions the victim (who had already given the description of his assailant to the bouncers at the club) and his friends told the bouncers that my friend was not the assailant. The description given to the bouncers was a guy in a white shirt with a tattoo across the back of his head. My mate had a white shirt so was asked to leave the club even though he has no tattoo. He had even had his head shaved earlier that day so the bouncer could not have claimed that hair was obscuring the view of the tattoo.
Following the vrifiction of the victim and friends that my friend was not the assailant, you would expect that the bouncer who had ejected him to apologise. But this was not the case, he still believed my friend to be the assailant. Even some of the other bouncers did not believe that my friend was the assailant and the polic officers who had arrived on scene did not believe he was the assailant. I believe the bouncer did not want to admit to being wrong an admitting to the assault of my friend. I also believe that, due to Mish Mash being a relevantly new club, that they have hired bouncers that are available locally. But the main reason some of he bouncers are available is because they are incapable of carrying ou their job correctly, have very poor eyesight or are just too old to get a job as a bouncer at other clubs (the bouncer who committed the assault seemed quite old for a bouncer by the way).
I think that if i new club wants to exceed in darlington then it should not be ejecting its paying customers on insubstantial charges and then assaulting them. If the club continues with this policy I am pretty sure it will go out of business sooner rather than later. The club would do a lot better if it employed bouncers with brains and eyes that worked.

shame about the bouncers.... but really... that whole post just to give abit of advice to a new club???

youve got to be fucking joking...... its not like EVERY bouncer is like this ONE... sure a few bouncers are nob heads, but this was a case of mistaken identity

... and besides how many times do you see, or hear about a lass gettin dragged outside by bouncers and the shit kicked outta them?? ive never ever heard of it, and very much doubt it would ever happen
