Gareth Emery now sitting at number 23 in the definitive DJ Mag Top 100 Poll, has had an amazing few years, 2008 saw him become increasingly established as one of the most innovative, unique, and exciting figures in modern dance music. With his numerous world-class productions topping charts everywhere, and his explosive DJ sets continuing to pack out clubs across the globe!
Back in 2002 Gareth released his debut track Mistral since then his discography has of huge tracks has grown and grown. Today, in the Emery studio, it’s all about innovation, setting benchmarks, and challenging perceptions. Constantly escaping categorisation, his productions, (which are composed, produced, and engineered entirely by him), span the worlds of trance, progressive, electro and techno.
DJ wise his relentless touring schedule now sees him banking around 250,000 air miles every year, unequivocally demolishing dance floors at the world’s finest clubs and festivals. You’ll find him at global super clubs like Home in Sydney, Zouk in Singapore, The Guverment in Toronto and Amnesia in Ibiza. You’ll find him at festivals like Holland’s legendary 30,000 strong Trance Energy and Belgium’s Tomorrowland. Not to mention every UK trance club worth stepping foot in!

Sean Tyas sitting at no 56 in the 2008 DJ mag poll has been one of THE buzz names in trance circles in the past 3 years. And with good reason too; he's cut out his own niche in the highly competitive production arena to create countless hit tracks, remixes and bootlegs that bring to the dancefloor a mix of melodic harmony, driving groove and cutting edge production techniques.
In the UK and Ireland Sean Tyas has built up a solid fan base at major events such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Passion, The Ministry Of Sound, The Gallery and Inside Out. Festival wise Sean Tyas has played at Global Gathering, Trance Energy, Dance Valley and Mystery Land festivals in Holland, the Monday Bar cruises in Sweden, Judgement Sundays at Eden in Ibiza, east European shows at the Gaudi Arena in Moscow and Beach Party in Poland.
2008 saw many more trance bombs dropped from the Tyas camp, including a coveted collaboration project with Armin van Buuren titled 'Intricacy', the chart topping 'Somethin's Up' with Simon Patterson, as well as massive remixes of Inertia 'The System', Nish 'Blue Sunshine', Ben Gold 'Life'... the list goes on!

Greg Downey has had a great year in 2009, gig wise he’s played South Africa, Canada, Argentina, Sweden, Finland, Poland and Jakarta, as well as regularly appearing at Godskitchen, Goodgreef, The Gallery, Slinky & Inside Out.
His consistent, high quality production really stands out when you hear it in a club and his skills on the decks make him a truly versatile DJ who will always deliver regardless of which slot he is allocated. Greg has new tracks coming out soon including a collaboration with John O’Callaghan and a new remix for Vandit records!
Greg played at Amplified’s first event back in 2008 so it’s with great pleasure that we welcome him back for our birthday event on Friday 16th October!

Ben Gold now residing as Amplified’s highest profile resident is currently on fire, with an endless list of engineered tracks being supported by every trance DJ in the top 100! Recent productions include ’Today’ featuring vocalist Senadee on the newly established Kill The Lights label, ‘First Class Travel’ and addition to this he’s remixed Andy Moor & Ashley Wallbridge’s ‘Faces’ for AVA records, amongst this lot he’s started work on his debut artist album! Visuals from VJ Steve G will be provided throughout the night to add that extra special touch, VJ Steve G has played at some of the biggest nights in the UK providing visuals for some massive DJ’s including Groove Armada, David Guetta, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto and Nu Nrg. Also he was selected by Pioneer to represent them at Mobile DJ Show in Leeds and at the massive Plasa Show at Earls Court, London where he performed 3 DVJ sets alongside James Zabiela.

The Venue
The Royal is located in the Grade II listed Royal building on Victoria Street in Derby. The venue is split into two rooms, The Blue room is a 400+ capacity Grand Ball Room and The Red Room a 200+ capacity providing intimate and decadent surroundings.
Both rooms are unique in style whilst retaining many original features, chandeliers, wooden floors, high ceilings and period detail.
