The Japanese Popstars gear up for Rodney Trotter
October will now see the release of The Japanese Popstars "Rodney Trotter", all the remixes are finally in and the track is geared up for full release on the brand new imprint DOZER. Already recieving major airplay from the likes of Paul Woolford, Pete Tong, Fergie, XFMs Eddie Temple-Morris, Paul Jackson and Steve Lamacq, the promo on this one is hotting up and has been getting cained all over the world, from Ibiza to Poland and many of the large European festivals.

"One Of The Hottest Electro Acts To Come Out Of Ireland Recently"
Electric Circus, May 2006.

The lads themselves have been buzzing since the tune was dropped on Pete Tongs Essential Selection, plus the following night DJ Fergie even gave listeners a sneak peak at one of the forthcoming Japstars tracks for 2007 on his BBC Radio 1 show, as the buzz builds up for these boys it's only getting bigger! They have licensed "Rodney Trotter" to a number worldwide compilation albums and you can actually check it out on the "It's Only A Mixtape! Vol 2" compilation, which is in shops right now and mixed by Paul Jackson! Two Japstars tracks feature on this compilation and has actually led to them being asked to compile and mix the next "It's Only A Mixtape! Vol 3", which they are in the process of completing!

The boys latest remix of Rob Hawk & Mysoul "So Shocking" on Gung-Ho!/Ministry Of Sound is currently doing the rounds in many of the top jocks record boxes and thier Cagedbaby remix on Southern Fried Records has opened quite a few doors for them, leading to quite a few more major profile remix offers coming in.

Major heads in the industry have tipped The Japanese Popstars as the ones to watch in the coming months. They have litterally come out of nowhere and are only just 6 months old. The amount of giant leaps that they have taken in the dance music industry is an accolade in itself.

"The Japanese Popstars are F***ing deadly. The End. I need say no more."
Connected Magazine - August 2006.

This month sees them gearing up for the European festival circuit with major live dates at the Sortie23 Festival in Brussels plus 2 dates at Irelands own Electric Picnic, The Pod in Dublin, Manchester, Blackpool and then "The Mighty" Lush! in N.Ireland for an all out DJ action on the turntables! The guys are actually taken bookings right up to Christmas week and are spending any time off they have in the studio working on new material and remixing!

"Rodney Trotter" will see release in October with remixes from Rui Da Silva, Leif and Paul Jackson.
