The Warehouse2

Doncaster Warehouse (B.Y.O) first opened its doors in 1889 when the UK rave scene was still called Acid house. During the first 15 months it operated with just a 2 O.,clock license and no drinks licence, hence its name B.Y.O, (bring your own) The DJ line up at this time was local and the crowed was minimal. After a 15 month infancy the BYO was granted an all night license, believed to be one of the first in the UK for a club of this genre. Now the management could look to push the club forward and they booked the services of one of the UK rave scenes biggest names, Carl Cox. The date was set and Doncaster Warehouse was set to write the first chapter of a story that has spanned nearly two decades. Stu Allan & Carl Cox were now installed as the venues residents and just about every big name from all corners of the UK were lined up to play at the Uks only all-night dance venue. The Warehouse was also the launch pad for some of today's big names within our region and nationally, DJs M.zone, 007, Eazy.D along with MCs Rush, Natz, Marcus, JD Walker to name just a few all broke there rave teeth here inDoncaster. The BYO was home to UK Hardcore for the next 7 years, but in the late 90s the manage- ment decided they needed to refresh the club and the music policy was changed to move along with the current tidal wave of hardstyles that was now sweeping the UK. It was still another 2 years before the club was granted its alcohol license, by now having operated for nearly a decade without any refreshments other than soft drinks, probably a fete not repeated anywhere in the world today. Now as we approach its seventeenth year the venue will once again open its doors to the UK hardcore scene, this time in the shape of DIZSTRUXSHON The UKs longest running event. Between us we think that we can resurrect The Doncaster Warehouse to its rightful place amongst the elite of Dance venues within the UK and bring UK Hardcore Home.
