Music : Funk, Jazz-Funk, Jazz and Rare Groove
Human Equivalent comprises Leah (alto sax), Ant Law (electric guitar), Kevin Glasgow (electric bass), Calum McIntyre (drums) and Alan Benzie (keys). From Edinburgh, Ant, Kevin and Calum are all bright young stars in the Scottish jazz and cross-over firmament. From Glasgow, and new to the band this summer, Alan Benzie (BBC Radio Scotland Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2007) now also studies at Berklee College of Music, Boston MA, where he won the Piano Prize earlier this year, and where he and Leah form an electrifying core to the impressive roster of young Scottish musicians at the world-famous college.
