The date is 31st January 2009, the place is Eastbourne, the weather is absolutely freezing! Why are we all out in the numbing coldness???

Tonk Presents MDA & Spherical


Starting the evenings festivities was Tonk frontman Nik Spiers who played a rather chilled out down tempo set compared to the raw hardness we are used to hearing from him. None the less his mixing was second to none as always and the atmosphere was starting to build up nicely!



As the the club started to fill up with the Tonk Loyalists the music started to get faster and by the time Fool took over the decks there was a happy vibe buzzing through the crowd!

Fools sets was absolutely blinding, im very proud of how far he has come in such a short period of time! Watching him throw himself over the mixer whilst bringing in his tunes is a pleasure for me as i can tell how much he's enjoying himself!



Next to grace the decks was our very own Hardstyle King, Phizz! His set was banging and he had everybody jumping around the dancefloor and going mental!



Then the time arrived for the most famous duo ever known to man........Well hard dance addicts at least lol!

MDA & Spherical!!!






I personally am a huge fan of their productions and after seeing them play NYE am now also a huge fan of their live sets so to have them play at Tonk was almost like winning the lottery for me lol!

Their unique blend of old classic trance tunes remixed into todays hard dance had me going mental, and I wasnt the only one! I know of a few Non- Hard housers that were jumping about like their life depended on it (aherm Mike??)

The crowd were going nuts at every single tune and so were MDA & Spherical! Matts girlfriend was dancing away right in the midst of the crowd and the whole vibe was happy and friendly, the boys are probably the nicest guys in the whole wide world!

Then the most shocking but funny thing happened............
Mr Spherical decided to do a bit of impromptu break-dancing/skipping/somersaulting right in the middle of the dancefloor whilst on his way to the loo!!!! Me and Nik stood there in horror at the fact he had fallen on his ass while Matt absolutely pi**ed himself laughing behind the decks!!!!

(Sorry Mark I know I said I wouldnt say anything but it seemed to good to miss)

Fortunately Mark is only suffering from a few bumps n bruises and Get Well wishes go out to you on behalf of Tonk!

At the end of the night the boys were quite happy to chat to people and sign cds/t shirts etc!!

I for one think this was the best Tonk ever and hopefully the boys have paved the way for our dreams of Tonk World Domination!

Big thanks go to Mark and Matt for coming down to play for us!!

The Bassment staff and Mr Phil 'Clooney' (the coolest manager on the circuit lol)

Also to Nik, Phizz, Aaron and all the Tonk massive yet another well bloody done as we go from strength to strength!!

Whoop Whoop! What a wicked night! Really enjoyed myself behind thye decks and believe it was by far my best set to date! and best of all it was all recorded! :) Everyone was on top form which made for a wicked party! Here is looking forward to 21st Whoop!

MDA & Sphericals set wont be, the others, well, the quailitys not too good, but a bit of editing and we may put em up on the tonk website!!!(Which is still under construction!!!)

Was a good night, did some experimenting with camera settings that I liked!
