My last ever set of photos at the funktion rooms...thanks to Mass recordings for making it a quality night and again one the best nights of music at the club ever !

the new promotions manager at the funtktion rooms called me last week to say in his own words "I'm gonna knock the photos on da head ok"....then he hired the clubs web designer to take photos from now on...so I understand what he meant now ;)

sorry about the wait...my hands were tied by the clubs decision to use them exclusively on their own website for a set period before I could upload anywhere else such as DSI. Not my wish....but that's what they wanted.

Shame people aren't more honest really - they could have just said they didn't want to pay as much or they wanted the web designer to do it.

Also sucks that they've stopped most events there, the venue is too good for RnB / Cheese.

They'll notice the quality in pictures drop drastically and beg you to come back mate :)

If you wanna shoot TS on May 31st you're more than welcome to - I can't pay much as I don't get paid but I'm happy to slip you some beers or a few quid... Hardly earning a living but it's a night out =]

well, it isnt THAT bad! Fergus does play some good stuff downstairs but still miss the one-off events. Guess its back to venturing out to honey!

FYI people CHICABOOM, MASS RECORDINGS, X-FADERS, REBOURNE, TONK will all now be hosting events at THE BASEMENT every Saturday starting in June more details to follow

As were CHICABOOM n X-FADERS but that was only 1 room, it's a purely commercial decision it's a big venue, too big to be specialist in a town of this size, god knows funktion tried to offer something different and there have been some great nigths down there, I know that the owners wanted it to be the venue it set out to be, but lack of consistent support from Jo Public has meant this will not happen =(

So all us music lovers n party heads out there need to support all the nights that will be running at The Basement on Saturdays else that too will fail, it's up to us to make this happen.

By all means go the commercial route, but keep some of the nights going - surely FR didn't lose money on MASS nights? I can't comment on other nights 'cos I didn't get over that much...

Ah well, onwards and upwards guys :)

I must say though, Beyonce on Funktion One soundsystem is a terrible waste!

i was shocked when i found out, i always enjoyed the trance and hard house events and equally enjoyed the other house and electro nights. It was what set funktions apart and the dance music lovers were the predominant market. Unfortunately, theres too many people in this town that simply 'dont get it' or want to hear cheese classics.

well got my driving test today (eeek!) and just been focusing all my energies in workin my arse off at kings. This weekend was crazily busy! Yeah I have heard that tune I really like it. Im loving sean tyas-blue sunshine (either blue sunshine or blue horizon i cant remember!), greg downey-stadium and mekka-resistance. Although i havent updated it for a while due to bank holiday madness etc. etc. u shuld check out www.djgregsta.co.uk...got sum reviews on there of albums ive got or heard! let me no what u think.
