Well what can I say about Tonk presents Technikal?

Let me start at the beginning...........

After a 4 month wait from the December Tonk, the Tonkateers have been on tenterhooks waiting for the next installment of all things bosh, so when we heard that the King himself, Mr Technikal was playing at this event we all went gaa gaa!!

Waiting upstairs in the gallery of the Funktion rooms and hearing the bass coming from the Sub Club downstairs as the Tonk team were getting ready for us all to invade was just too unbearable as the excitement took over us all. Then the moment arrived.....the doors were open!!

First to grace the decks was the long anticipated debut set from Fool 52 who had the crowd jumping from the minute he put his headphones on with his euphoric hard dance tunes and tight ass mixing skills. The Sub Club was packed tighter than a tin of sardines as he moved up a level to some stomping hardstyle and the crowd went ballistic!
A brilliant debut set and I for one look forward to the next time he plays out! Well done Aaron!

Then came Tonk resident and local super hero Nik S who is an absolute legend in my book as anyone whos seen him play will probably agree with me! He kept the crowd screaming for more with his superb mixing skills and uplifting hard trance with a bit of a stompfest thrown in for good measure! This DJ is gonna go far, mark my words!

After Nik S came Simon Qudos who carried on the "hands in the air" atmosphere that had been set by the Tonk boys. At this point I had to go outside to cool down but I could hear the bass pounding even outside! Well done Simon!

Then to finish us all off both mentally and physically came the King of hard dance, Technikal. This man is most definately a legend on the decks and a jolly nice guy to boot! He had the crowd going absolutely mental with his unique mixing skills and effects all rounded up with his wicked tunes that everybody knows and loves. I for one am a huge fan of his!!

All in all I think this was a most memorable night and I cant wait to see what treats Nik S and Fool 52 have for us at the next Tonk presents......

Be prepared Eastbourne ;)

i agree a top night all the dj s smashed it NIK S STOOD OUT FOR ME quality tune selection and set well done mate surprised is not the word trust me i loved it we all FUCKING LOVED IT LOL X

Moving to Eastbourne was the best idea you guys ever had - Hastings really isn't right for Hard dance of any genre.

Nick is certainly heading for better things - it was only last year he said "I can't be arsed playing out", well done dude!

Agree with that - reckon if he starts producing as well, he'll go far. Anyways, was a wicked night, shame I had to go early (long story), but I'll definitely be making it to the next one :-)

Congratulations to all @ TONK. It seems like I have missed another truly amazing night in Eastbourne....GUTTED!

Apologies to all, the reason I couldn't make it is simple, I over indulged at Hiiden the night previous and by the time I got to Kent, I was way to excited to be going to bed, which in turn resulted in my fading at 8pm placing me firmly in bed for a 12 hour stint of dreams and nightmares. I did have the offer of using the car to come down however, I deemed it to irresponsible to be driving in my condition, but rest assured to all the TONKeteers, I will NOT miss your next installment, its simply too good a party to miss out on ever again!!!

It looks like Auntie Edd's very own jester - Fool-52 has taken you lot by storm, so well done to him, and all the dj's playing at Tonk...

OOOh, please don't rub it in...he he, I'm gutted I couldn't come but tackling the winding country roads, especially after nearly falling asleep driving back from the last one and nearly totallying into a roundabout in hastings, was simply to dangerous, especially cause it's not my car. I have a happy memory of the last TONK, that spurs me on to making the next one, and I'm making sure of it, its decembers edition that made me proper stomp and take some wicked pics to, rest assured ahead of the next one I shall make sure I am not out on the Friday night, or I at least have a hotel in eastbourne to rest up before the actual night!! PWOMISE!!!

yeah pleased it went well. i planned to come, but had a weekend off clubbing (shock!) and feel loads better for it. when is the next one?
