Music : House, Minimal Techno, Detroit Techno, Disco and Jazz-Funk
February sees one of our favourite djs, Ralph Lawson’s return to solescience for the first time in almost two years. In that time Ralph has mainly been focussing on his band, the 20:20 Soundsystem and they’ve gained an incredible live reputation as well as 5 star reviews across the board for their debut album “No Order”.
Incredibly, he’s managed all this while continuing his role as resident at one of the UK’s most legendary house clubs, Basics (15 years old last year!), and keeping his label, 20:20 Vision, at the forefront of the UK house scene.
Never one to rest on his laurels, 2007 already sees a Fabric mix due to be released in March which Ralph will be supporting at solescience as well as further festival dates for the Soundsystem.
We have been waiting on this date for a very long time!!
Hosting the backroom will be, Barry Reeve under his Dicky Trisco moniker. Barry runs the label, Deep Freeze Recordings from his Dundee base and has produced for a variety of labels including 20:20 Vision and So Sound while also throwing his own parties in Dundee, which have seen, amongst others, Greg Wilson appearing. Expect the very best in electro-funk, disco and nu-stuff from a Scot who’s mix tapes have been on constant rotation in our house.
As ever Nick and Rob will be on hand to aid and abet wherever possible.
If you require bio/pic please find attached.
Interviews with Ralph can also be arranged, as can sneaky peaks of his Fabric mix, which is due for release the first week in March.
Please get in touch if we can help with either,
Many thanks for listening and all the best in 2007,
Thanks,
