Things don’t look to be slowing down as Sugarbeat throws one hell of a party to celebrate it’s 3rd Birthday with a suitably large line up.
Erol Alkan first came to prominence as the man at the forefront of the huge wave of bootlegging, and through his famous genre-mashing DJ sets, the rise and rise of his club night Trash, and his incredible remixing skills he has become one of the most in-demand DJs in the world. Erol blends the finest electronic music infused with elements of the highly unexpected, and his own exclusive re-workings that in recent years have included Mylo, Hot Chip and Justice. Anyone who was at Sugarbeat last time he played will know what to expect, he took the roof off!
Sinden and Herve are two of the most exciting Djs around at the moment. Blowing up alongside Switch with a sound that fuses hip hop and Electronica with house and Baltimore Club, they have been pushing forward the boundaries of the sound. As well as high profile guest slots worldwide Sinden holds down his own show on Kiss, a residency at London’s Fabric, and is co-owner of the highly rated label Counterfeet, as well as being the man behind the monster that was the ‘Beeper track’. Herve is just as busy with releases under a whole host of aliases including Count of Monte Cristal, Speaker Junk, Young Lovers and of course Herve, the moniker used for his massive ‘Cheap Thrills’ track. We’re excited about seeing them at Sugarbeat.
As always support will be expertly managed by hosts Utah Saints alongside residents Smokey & the Bandit and B-sides. And with a line up that also includes a special dj set from British electronic pioneers Cabaret Voltaire. We quite simply think it is a night not to be missed.
