On Saturday 8th March, Karnival celebrates its 2nd Birthday. And we're delighted to welcome back a man who just about blew the roof off the Cab and the socks clean off our feet last time he joined the party - Paolo Mojo

If you ever chat with Paolo Mojo, chances are he’ll be busy somewhere in the world getting more stamps in his passport ,more air miles and simply wow-ing crowds wherever he goes. He’s now acknowledged as one of the hardest working, brightest talents on the underground house music scene. A bulging international diary sees him tour the globe constantly – and has earned him a formidable global fan base (just take a look at his myspace page…) www.myspace.com/paolomojo.

An impressive stream of productions and remixes have cemented his standing – Pete Tong at Radio One labelled his single JMJ – as ‘the tune of the summer at Pure Pacha’ - and who could forget the legendary 1983 – remixed by his close pal Eric Prydz into one of the nailed on anthems of 2006, and still being played constantly around the world today. He’s made a significant mark in the compilation market too. Two fantastically received releases have followed in quick succession, marking him down as a master of the mix cd. EQ’s Balance 009 (2006) and Renaissance Digital 001 (2007).

Put it all together and its easy to see why he’s now considered one of the hottest ‘new’ DJ / Producers around. It’s hard to find a major country or club that hasn’t had a touch of the Mojo magic nowadays. Womb in Tokyo, Giant in Los Angeles, Stereo in Montreal, Fabric in London, We Love @ Space in Ibiza… you name it ..he’s probably been there recently.

And he’s no one hit wonder, thrust behind the decks like a startled rabbit in the headlights either. He’s an instinctive DJ, widely regarded as one of the most skilled technicians around today. Genuinely innovative programming combined with enviable technical ability sees him move effortlessly through the entire house music spectrum in his sets.

So its with good reason he’s been the handpicked opener / touring partner for Sasha and more recently Dubfire from Deep Dish – but the last year has seen him really come to the fore as a headliner in his own right - and its here he’s really made his mark, destroying clubs the world over on the back of a relentless touring schedule.

One of the brightest stars of the future, destined for great things - Sasha 2005

Paolo Mojo is one of the most talented new DJs , he's a man you'll be hearing a lot more from - John Digweed

He is constantly pushing and finding quailty house music. One of the best new DJs for sure - Hernan Cattaneo

Support comes from the full roster of Karnival residents Mike Pinkerton, Matt Edwards, Ryan Ellis & Stringfellow Hawk
