First off.....massive, massive thanks to everyone who made it down to Stereotype on Halloween for what turned out to be one of the parties of the year. Great to see so many people in fancy dress and making the effort and the atmosphere was superb. Huge thanks also to all the DJs for turning excellent sets in all 3 rooms. Now for this month..........

After growing up in jazz and soul orientated family and graduating from banging pots and pans to a drum kit aged 10, Stockholm born and based DJ/Producer Style of Eye is making a name for himself in techno, but his productions are essentially a journey through everything from techno to house via raw percussion and minimal, floaty melodies and downright weird noises.

As you'd expect from someone who cites his influences as diverse as Stevie Wonder, Nineteenth century classical composer Edvard Grieg, and Yello, it's clear that Style of Eye doesn't like to be pigeonholed. "The Big Kazoo" EP on Dirtybird was a springboard to success that has also seen releases on John Dahlback's Pickadoll label as well as further releases on Dirtybird.

In 2009 alone he has been responsible for remixing the likes of Moby, Empire Of The Sun, Little Boots, Riton and Lilly Allen to name a few. This has catapulted him forward as one of the most in demand remixers of the last few years. We're delighted to have him at Stereotype at a time when his stock couldn't be higher.
