We are gonna build 2 new DJ box's in Faith as part of our Redevlopment over the next 6 weeks

I want all you DJs out there to tell me what will make your life easier?

Layout , Design and Functionability

What you all think ?

Get the DJ booth back up high like how it used to be in Faith.

like back in the days of wilkie house when sublime/jakkarta/luvely
etc started,every one was regimented towards the dj
booth giving everyone focus and direction......

Im good mate. I've not been up to much, just working alot, getting up at silly o'clock to do shift work.

How about yourself?

It's probably all been said already but

2 x DJ Moniters focused towards the middle of the booth at a reasonable height 5-6 feet
2 or 3 x CDJ 1000's (On Stands it's easier to see what your doing)
2 x Technic's 1210
Fully working mixer !!!! Pioneer or Allen & Heath or Vestax (Depending on DJ anything goes)
Space for a Laptop (in the next 2 years probably 50% of the DJ's will be using Serato or Traktor)
Lighting (Too many DJ's booths are dark a lamp wouldnt go a miss)
Some form of door to secure your space (Some DJ's actually work and the last thing they want is a request pest, others dont mind but the choice would be good)

And servicing all equipment is an essential and can cut out long term problems

Saw someone mention Funktion one speakers for the booth, they would be louder than main area!
You changing position or that of the dj booth?

It's always cooler having it higher up than the dance floor. In my opinion.

Or what is it your changing about it?
