Hey Shrek, at least I've got some :P

Stuart, admit it, Hindshite is crap. Its full of chavs and people who like to drink and fight. Almost everyone I know who's been there has seen a fight or been involved in one. Why don't you use your cash to go to decent venues like Dance Academy instead?

Dance Academy? What's that then?
;)

I've been to St. Georges for a hard dance event twice, and never seen any trouble. Mind you, I could easily have missed it and it is full of chavs (no offence to the attending non-chavs out there).
And I have seen news reports of some poor bugger getting his head caved in after one event.

yes I heard about that too mate, it was a friend of friend of a friend, horrible innit :-(

But...........as I say I really think you should go, as I say I've been going for years and have usually had a good night, anyways for me it's more about supporting the teenie weenie harddance scene in the city I live in :-)

Yeah, the scene is a little bit limited. I'm not really a big fan of hard dance or hardcore, more of a trance fan. But I did like Mark EG when he played DA on Boxing Day. And Hindsight was my first ever Dance event (July 2004).
Have you ever been to Zephyrs Bar? They apparently have some good stuff on on Sat eves.

Nope, where's that?? Am a tad embarrassed if it's in Exeter but to be honest I hardly ever go out here in the night time, sometimes go to the locals (Henrys bar & the Bowling green on Blackboy road) for a few pints, apart from that I'm usually saving my money to get to all-nighter events as far away as possible ;-)

Apparently it is. Tideh from DA sometimes DJs there (open decks night, he says).
I've just googled it. It used to be JoJos. Hmm...

You might like to try the North Bridge Inn, too. No hard stuff, but on Thursday nights they have house/tech house DJs. Nice little pub, sofas and a pool table. Good place to chill out with decent music.

If you want to support Exeter then start a revolution and remove the almost-dead parasites who call themselves the council from power as they refuse every event that comes to or requests permission to set foot in Exeter. Remember Slinky at West Point? The council stopped it because they claimed the noise pollution was too much (info obtained from Slinky themselves)

I went to all of them and had a great time. First and only Hindshite I went to I knew I never wanted to go - the atmosphere wasn't right.

cheers mister, oooh open decks night, sounds intriguing (spelling?), do you reckon they would mind me ramming a load of evil gabba at them lol?? JoJos, @ the top of Fore Street?? I sang in there once at a kareoke (spelling?) night, was hilarious, i can't sing at the best of times but had drank stupid amounts of southern comfort

ooo Southern Comfort - that stuff is best in coffee.

Absinthe is the direction to be heading in... :D

I know, I was there.

As for noise pollution, well, they still let Meatloaf play there. Gits.
Ooh, hometime.

yes I do rememeber Slinky, had forgetten about it but I did go to one event years ago, it was mental, Westpoint is a really good venue, shame.
Yes the council are shockingly shite, I speak from much experience but I now choose to take a happy & less stressful approach to life, as I've been through enough already and I can't be arsed with starting campaigns which will blatently amount to fuck-all, such as deleting the existing Exeter city council. At the end of the day I'm only back in exeter due to bad financial and relationship choices, I shall be packing my bags as soon as I've got it all together and found a nice new home for me and my son but until then bla bla....sorry I'm fucked

Haha! Get on. Wish I was too.
Exeter's not the worst place to live tho. Try growing up in Essex...

Is it Al Murray standup? If so, oooohh nice.
