disappointing
if you love drum and bass this event would of prob been wicked but as a load of us went for the hardcore is really was poor.
suppose to be drum and base verses hardcore and we get there and neither rooms were playing hardcore tried to find out what was going on (what a piss take) to be told hardcore did not start till 12 hixxy was replaced by dj vibes and mc storm well who knows what happened there but can safely say he was not there, drum and base room looked wicked but the so called hardcore room well was not looking wicked shall we say.

ok cool

just a few points then to keep this brief as poss:
firstly the flyer clearly stated Hardcore / Old Skool in room 2
The DnB & Hardcore line up were helped put together by Devotion who booked all the hardcore boys except nick.
So thats why there wasnt hardcore all night it was never said there would be.
Also Hixxy was 100% booked for this we only recently found out he could not make it because of his commitments in spain but were re assured that Storm would be there, so we arranged DJ vibes as the best last minute replacement we could find at short notice, had we known Storm was just not going to show and turn his phone off on the night then maybe we could have got a replacement mc aswell but on the night was too short notice.
If you have a prblem about this dont hesitate to contact me further but maybe you should try the artist first and see what he has to say as we have not been able to get hold of him.
you can try contacting them through www.htid.co.uk
or e mail phantasy on info@easyrecords.net and he may well have some more info as to why Storm turned his phone off.
Anyway this was the first time we have done a hardcore room and it was more as a point to show where DnB and Happy Hardcore came from hence the Old Skool at the beginning
Sometimes things like this dont work out, but oh well we tried and it goes to show sometimes to stick to what you know best.
Also the sound lorry gota flat tyre on the way from Nottingham which meant that they didnt arrive until 8.40 so for us to get the backroom set up and running by 9.25 was very good work and the DnB room 15 mins later was thanks to alot of hard work from Rinseout cru.
This also meant Maxxi & Darko harly got to play and d minds went straight on, so all in all we were very lucky that all names got to play in that room 2

Lot of lot of stress and Rinseout wont be doind Hardcore again so dont worry

ITS ALL ABOUT THE DNB
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME

sorry if i offended anyone, when the ravers turn up we dont think about the set up problems you get ect, just at £14 each was not worth the money the d&b was wicked and room looked great so not all bad, maybe if you do arrange one next time go to the uproar or something only paid £17.50 and it was mental if thats any help xxx

thats cool all comments appreciated in hindsight yes the dnb room was value for money but the hardcore room wasnt and this was totally out of our hands
DnB is what we do so we used someone else to sort the hardcore side of things and they didnt come thru

Doesnt help the fact that Storm is still not answering his mobile phone now he has switched it on

anyway keep on ravin n take it ez ye

well i had a fantastic night regardless,
just because hixxy didn't turn up didn't ruin anything for me, because all the dnb regulars were there and some of my mates who love hardcore.
i say do this again, dnb vs hardcore = :D

Well just to elaborate on this, we came we saw and we wouldnt bother to go again... the staff were rude, the venue organisers left us outside for almost an hour before letting us in, the drum and bass was fine but the whole bar was full of hardcore ravers! its fine to hold a drum and bass night but dont tempt ravers into thinking you'll be playing hardcore - its just not fair!

i know out of everyone who paid a tenner for this will not be going again, next time organisers keep to the drum and bass with your students and you'll be fine, leave the hardcore raving up to the professionals!
