Well it finally arrived... the first Unifi event with one of the best line ups of this year. We got there, thanks to the work of the Rectify team, not long before the doors were open. Only to forced to endure the worst nightclub queue ever. But less of the bitching for now... I'll praise the night first.

I started off in the main room where Alan Belshaw was standing in for Nikalas Harding and he was playing quite a good opening set. Picotto was on after him for what we all thought to be a very early set.... but never mind that, he was brilliant until a certain point when he totally changed direction to the skirmish on the dancefloor.
After that, I went into float about mode for a while where I caught bit of Andy Whitbys set and bits of Marcel Woods. And I'm pretty sure I heard the Vengaboys coming from the other room when I went out for a smoke.... confused by this, I spoke to Will D without noticing the legend Andy Whitby was standing right beside him. Oops
From that point on, my mind gets a bit fuzzy here and there, but I remember Anne Savage set which was ok and Kutski.

I met loads of people I know from DSI..... some I recognised and, sorry, some I did'nt quite. But hey, was nice to meet everyone anyway!

Now its time for me to bitch cause its in my nature to bitch and moan! Room at the Top is one of the worst clubs I have ever been too. It was badly run, poorly stewarded and un-cleaned. The queue was a total joke with people joining it wherever they wanted to, including right outside the pub entrance infront of the stewards. There was boys I'd regard as animals puking and pissing on the wall in that queue... how inhuman is that? The stewards were undermanned, evident by the skirmish that broke out in the main room with about 20 people and went on for a good few minutes during Picottos set (hence the drastic change in music). Oh, and the yokel playing around with the mop, swinging it about over his head.... why did nobody stop him doing that? Really... why? The floors got very dirty but I never saw any form of glass collector or even a bin, so the bottles and tumblers built up along the walls. I'm sure I could go on

But anyway, I still managed to enjoy myself... roll on Rectify!

I have no idea why but the toilets at R@TT have always got into some mess, The place is poorly ran, but its still got the potential to be a half decent venue.

The place is poorly ran, but its still got the potential to be a half decent venue.

the place could be a brilliant venue....its a really nice layout and a good size too.....the security were the porrest i have ever seen tho, and all those disco lights in room 1 definitely killed the atmosphere a good deal..
