A fresh feel to the club scene... at last
Photo-Journalist Tracey Ewan, gives a recap of the newest techno club night @ the Soundhaus, Glasgow - PULSE meets RED EYE, 20/08/2004. This was the UK debut of Naples born DJ/Producer Danilo Vigorito...

What can I say? been ages since i've been to The Soundhaus. And what a good night!

Got there early to catch the first dj, get some pic's. The late comers still at home, moulding hair, ironing lucky pants, you all missed out.

It was the guys from Red Eye and Pulse, namely Thierry (Commodore) and Sergio (The Alchemist) who asked me to do the photo's. We got to know these guys cos I've seen them play so many times and they've never failed to impress me. The style of Techno they play and seamless mixes are spot on.

From backstage I could see just how much technical equipment and know-how it takes to produce the hours of audio and visual entertainment so eagerly soaked up by the crowd.

As for Danilo Vigorito, the flyer - no lie! He did indeed proceed to play Phat, Crunchy Perfect Techno adding the icing to the delicious cake of sound produced by the resident DJ's.

I have to say I had loads of fun getting the pics and such a good night! I had a crowd of smiley faces waiting for me back at mine for an after party. Thanks again to Thierry for setting up final scratch at the party, and to all who came back. I'll get the party photos soon.

Thanks again to all involved (Danilo & Manuela, your pics are in the post as promised). See ya, Tracy XX

With Red Eye taking charge of the Techno room on the night, it was Pulse who commanded the House Room. As expected, the atmosphere was electric! Pulse residents James Gray & Bob McG warmed the crowd for the eagerly awaited C.O.F., Gio Ferri and Jon Mancini who did not disappoint.

The House complemented the Techno by giving a real change to the club scene – the collaboration of Pulse & Red Eye continues with this new bi-monthly residency. Next night: 15th October with another UK first – DJ TONTO from Brazil, SUBURBAN FUNK COMMAND, MYST, along with Pulse & Red residents THE ALCHEMIST, COMMODORE & JAMES GRAY.
