SPIN OUT AT THE BOILEROOM PAUL THOMAS (GODSKITCHEN) TOBY TOBIAS (REKIDS) JOHN DONAGHY (DIRTY HABIT/SHINOOK) SI MCEVOY (RESIDENT) Saturday 28th October 9 – 2am £6 Following the fantastic success of our September gig where Dylan Rhymes tore the roof off, Spin Out is proud to invite you to the second of our monthly events. This time round we play host to three DJs who are all rightly considered heirs to the future of international dance music all with their own individual take on ass wiggling House music. Headlining is Godskitchen resident and critically acclaimed producer Paul Thomas. Paul is no stranger to the international club scene, having toured with Godskitchen international as far and wide as the US, Poland, Slovenia and Russia. His DJing skills have attracted the attention of most of the industry’s big players, with the likes of Nic Fanciulli calling him ‘one of the most consistent and freshest DJs around’ and Fergie stating, ‘Only once in while a DJ as talented and fresh as Paul comes along, I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot more of him in the future’. In addition Paul is also a quality producer, having released on labels such as Toolroom, Whoop and Red Records and getting DJ support from the likes of Eric Morillo, Fergie and even the mighty Sasha! Supporting Paul are two of the scene’s most exciting young talents, Toby Tobias and John Donaghy. Toby is a producer and DJ notorious for his intelligent set programming and clever production. His track ‘A Close Shave’ was picked up by Radioslave for their uber-cool ‘Rekids’ label and his own club night ‘Late Night Audio’ at 54 in London continues to go from strength to strength. John Donaghy’s productions, alongside studio partner Born Tricky, are taking the industry by storm, with his track ‘True’ caned by Carl Cox at Space this summer and subsequently signed by Micky Slim’s label ‘Bomb Squad’. He is currently in the process of setting up his own label ‘Shinook’ and running his own club night, ‘Dirty Habit’ at Jamm in Brixton. As always Spin Out’s resident Si McEvoy will be completing the lineup. Si has been very busy in the studio of late, working on a number of remixes for the likes of Metric, Swain and Paris and Rich Dinsdale, plus a number of original productions with studio partner Dylan Rhymes. He can’t wait to test drive a few of them on Saturday!! Of course this all takes place in the lavish surroundings of the Boileroom, Guildford’s only purpose built music venue. With a massive 6k rig, cocktail bar and 100k refurbishment this is unquestionably the coolest venue in the local area. Don’t miss it!!!
