The legendary WOK Club returns to The University of Surrey Student Union (UniS) on Easter Saturday, April 15th.

A previous MIXMAG top fifty event, the re-launched WOK Club once again offers Guildford the rare opportunity to see and hear what may be described as Surrey's only genuine club experience. Featuring renound resident DJs The Hutchinson Brothers, Joe Flanagan and Johnny Love, a live set from Eskimo Disco and headline DJ Mark Wilkinson, the WOK re-inforces it's reputation for providing cutting edge DJs with up and coming bands rarely seen outside of London.

The evening kicks off at 20:00 with the iWOK pre-club bar (advance ticket holders only). iWOK will feature an eclectic mixture of four local DJs personal favourite tunes from their MP3 players. Rock, ska, dance, reggae, new wave, punk, soul and hip hop, anything goes!!!!. Then from 22:00 until 03:30 the main club brings back the aforementioned WOK favourites, The Hutchinson Brothers, Joe Flanagan and Johnny Love for a selection of electronic, house & cut up beats. On this occasion their dj sets will be complimented by a set of bumping funky tracks from in demand DJ/Re-mixer/Producer Mark Wilkinson. Mark currently runs Kidology Records, hosts his own Kidology nights in London, as well as regularly guesting at The Ministry of Sound and The Cross. He also forms part of the production team, Dab Hands, who crafted Lou Reid’s club hit “Satellite of Love”.

Creating meat in the WOK 'Club sandwich' will be a live band performance from the much tipped and talked about Eskimo Disco. Described by some as sounding like Soulwax remixed by Daft Punk, Eskimo Disco mix acoustic and electronic drum sounds with electronica keyboards and vocoder, all whilst jumping around like a three-piece punk band. This is not just a show, but a night not to be missed. Advance ticket purchase is strongly advised, as tickets on the door will be strictly limited.
Advance tickets are on sale from Sat 11th March from either ticketweb.co.uk priced @ £10. Alternatively please see www.thewokclub.co.uk for local ticket outlets.
