Friday the 11th of July sees the launch of Wrecreation at Hitchin’s Remix Club & Bar – it’s a fantastic looking event that boasts an absolutely amazing lineup from the very top end of the Hard Dance spectrum! It was on my “must do” list even before I knew the event was a charity event, raising money for MacMillan Cancer Relief, a charity close to my heart, so it’s great to see a quality dance night supporting a good cause!!

I spent a bit of time catching up with the team ahead of the event for a sneak preview of what to expect – first up, that vital question, what’s the venue like?

Remix is the newest venue in Hitchin, having been around since the 1920’s in various guises and having hosted some of the biggest names in music over the years – since it’s reincarnation, Remix has hosted top quality nights from the likes of Fierce Angel and many more and prides itself of its stunning art deco interior, classy décor and top-notch sound and lighting in both the main room and the bar area.

So what can we expect from the event itself then? Well first up, the lineup is something else, a real who’s who of Hard Dance, including the likes of Cally Gage, Karim and many more – certainly no shabby lineup by anyone’s imagination! What’s great is that many of the DJs are donating their fees to the charity – cancer is something that sadly will affect 1 in 3 of us in our lifetime, so it’s great to see them being so supportive.

In terms of event production, many different organisations have lent their support to the cause to provide décor, theming and prizes for the event to help raise funds for this fantastic charity’s work – they’ve gone to town on the production and you can expect to see multiple lasers, huge inflatables, fire breathers, angle grinders and many more visual attractions to brighten up the night!

At just £8 a ticket you really are set for a great night and safe in the knowledge you’re doing your bit for charity, you can get stuck in with a clear conscience!! See you there!!
