Its been a while, but we can now thankfully say that the Boogaloo batteries have been fully recharged and we're ready to hit the H-town and bring the most extravagant club night in the home counties back to Remix!!!!
If you haven't been to a Boogaloo yet, then you don't know what your missing.When we come to town, all the true clubbers come together to create a party atmosphere that you'll only experience at a Boogaloo event.
For our first party of 2009, we're going back to our roots. We're going all old skool, (coz we're so kool) and we want you to get all ELECTRIC BOOGALOO with us!!! Dig out your leg warmers, afro's, neon dance suits, adidas tracky's and sweat bands.... and come party BOOGALOO style. We will be erecting a boxing ring in the middle of the dance floor so the British Breakdancing association can have a live dance-off in the ring,a lighting production especially for the event, and last but by no means least, a LIVE music showcase supplied by BEAT TORRENT, part of the team that has won the DMC championship a record breaking 5 TIMES!!! ( who will be flying in from France just for our event.) We can't stress enough just how good the Beat Torrent show is, with more scratching and mixing effects than you can shake a b-boy stick at.
As always, Boogaloo resident Ian Charles will be on hand, with Steve Bentley and local legend JASON 'smoking' BIRD will be making his long awaited EB apperance with Wayne Mcerlane playing a classic house set.
We will have all the added lighting and sound effects that makes the BOOGALOO experience so unique, with the usual dose of house music and breakbeat like no-where else in the Home Counties......
To fit in withthe theme, there will be limited no. of custom made head and sweatbands with our logo on (see pic below), which we will be giving away FREE to our members. So we've got Scratching,a boxing ring, breakdancers,lighting productions, branded sweatbands and a club full of dressed up hip hop freaks...........I think its safe to say that Boogaloo is back in town!!!!!
