We feel that it is time to do something a little bit different once again. If you are a fellow who is opnioniated, likes a debate or finds it hard not to speak up when you feel something isn't quite right, then you'll love this..........

Howard Marks and Jason Marriner are coming to Remix to sit and discuss topics that the media have been all over for the past how ever many years. Before he was ice skating in tightpants to love ballads, Donal Macintrye went undercover to follow Chelsea Headhunters, and as a consequence saw Jason Marriner convicted to 6 years in prison. There was certainly another side to the story, but one that has never been published. This will be the chance for you to ask exactly want went on in THAT tv documentry....

Once the Speeches and Q&A's have finished, ROCHE will take to the decks to play his oh so funky collection of 7 inches which range from The Doors to Nivanna. Something tells us that this will be an interesting evening.........

We will be selling a no. of early bird tickets at £8 which you can purchase up until 9th April. Then they will be £10 per person.

Howard Marks

Described by the Daily Mail (UK Tabloid) as 'the most sophisticated drugs baron of all time', Howard Marks has worked with the British Secret Service and has been connected with the Mafia, the IRA, MI6 and the CIA.

In 1996 he released his autobiography, Mr. Nice, which remains an international best seller in several languages and was the best selling non-fiction book of 1997. On the subject of his book, he says:

Through a plethora of media interviews and several public book readings, it became clear that the predominant reason why so many adolescents and university students read and enjoyed Mr Nice was their frustration with the law prohibiting cannabis consumption and trade. Until then, I had no idea of the extraordinary extent of cannabis use by young people today.

During 1997, he performed his first live shows, which discussed his life as a marijuana smuggler and his views on drug use and legalisation. The shows received excellent reviews throughout the national press, and his now legendary one-man comedy show, An Audience with Mr Nice, continues to sell-out at venues throughout Britain and Europe.

Howard Marks wrote a monthly column for Loaded for five years and has written features for the Observer, Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard, Time Out, GQ, and the Guardian. He continues to campaign vigorously for the legislation of recreational drugs.

This will be your chance to voice your opinion on one of the countries most debated topics. If you feel you have something to say about the subject, then let him know!!!!
