Massive Terrace Party @ the Lamp this upcoming August Bank Holiday
Thought we’d get this up nice and early so people have plenty of time to know about it!

Different Language host another daytime party at the Lamp this coming Bank Holiday Sunday 26th August. Starting from 2pm in the sunshine on the outdoor terrace, taking you into the early evening, Hull’s biggest daytime party is the only place to be.

As well as an impressive line-up (check out the article), they'll be fresh fruit, CD giveaways, drink promotions and the terrace & indoor bar area decorated in a stylish Moroccan theme. The Terrace Party is free before 4pm and only £1 after.

The party will be raising funds for the St. Andrew’s Children’s Hospice with contributions from the door fee along with all donations on the day. Full details of the charity can be found at www.standrewschildrenshospice.co.uk

We are an official Déjà Vu pre party and only a two minute walk from the Welly Club - the perfect place to warm up for the massive Déjà vu night including Sarah Main, Jesse Rose and Audiojack. The May bank holiday was packed out on the terrace so we advise to arrive early; this is not to be missed!

Ps. This event can be covered in the event of rain.

BUDS IN PLEASE!!!

Remember our Terrace Party continues to raise money for St Andrew's Hospice with collection points at the bar and we are also making a donation from what we make on the door. It's only £1 after 4pm but most of that money will go to charity.

Below is some details on what St Andrew's is all about.

St Andrew's Hospice is a community facility, registered charity, funded primarily by private donations.

The Hospice cares for children and young people from new born babies up until the age of 21 years. All the children have a progressive life limiting illness andd require palliative care. All services and facilities are provided free of charge to the children and their families. St Andrew's is available to anyone who needs specialist Hospice care.

st Andrew's provides Day Therapy for 4 children/young people each day and 4 child/young people in patient places are also available 7 days a week. The Children's Hospice provides largely respite care on a daily or weekly basis although terminal care is also available. Anyone can refer a child although the child's GP is always consulted prior to admission. The Hospice staff work closely with all the other relevant health care professionals to provide a co-ordinated and seamless range of care.

Apart from day and in Patient care the Hospice provides a wide range of services, which improve the quality of childrens lives. Including Complementary Therapies, Physiotherapy, Creative Therapy, Pet Assisted Therapy and Music Therapy. Sibling Days are also held regularly to give them the opportunity to be the focus of attention and enjoy the facilities available a the Hospice.

Bereavement counselling is also a very important aspect of Hospice Care. The Children's Hospice has two groups "Caterpillars" for the children who have a very sick sibling who attend the Hospice, and "Tigers" for those children whose siblings have already died.

As you can see this is an excellent cause, we will have several collections points at the Lamp on our Terrace Party events, so please give what you can.

It is a great atmosphere on the terrace, we've got DJs from Middlesbrough and Manchester to get things going in the afternoon, all we need is the weather to stay decent so we can have it open air!

1pm is hardcore... like it!
