funky-toast	www.myspace.com/lovebughouse INNOVATORS "not" IMMITATORS Please check out... www.love-bug.co.uk howdy House lovers just thought i would invite ya all to pop along to Ipswich's Premier Soulful/Jackin House night/venue at Degeros in Ipswich, i will be personally playin a 4 hour Birthday set startin at 8.30 thru til 12.30 this friday and i would like to invite everyone to pop along and check out the venue and music vibes!!! i will be playin a blend of all things House orientated, startin with the Soulful side of things with tunes from Artists like Dennis Ferrer, and moving thru BIG Vaocals liek Angie Brown and finishing the night on a Jackin tip with some classic re-meixes from the likes of Stevie Wonder, Del La Soul and many more, i will say the aim of this set will be to play a lot of tunes peeps can relate to wether thats classic vocals, big recognised samples, basically all ound feel good factor..... ------------------------------------------------------ "Funky-Toast" Funky-Toast is the Love-Bugs Head Honcho/Original Founder and Brains behind the House Music Night that just keeps goin from strength to strength out in the East Anglian Country Side ohhhh ahhhh!!! The Love-bug.co.uk is the east coasts finest Funky House music night!!! Monthly Resident Dj’s Funky-Toast and Dave G along with residents DJ Vegas and DJ Miloe will be layin down the phatt funky flava’s at one of Lowestoft’s sexiest clubs Faith Night Club. Couple this with the monthly V.I.P guest Dj’s from the easts top promotions such as Phunky (Pams House), Groove Est, Hed Kandi, M.O.S Radio, Gatecrasher & Pukka Up you will be in for a funk-fest of delights. Purchased a set of 1210`s & armed with a continued supply of vinyl via Harmony Records and Citysounds, DJ Toast started his illustrious DJ`ing career with core influences centred around Danny Rampling`s "LoveGroove Dance Party" and the legendary QAT Club. You can now catch Funky-Toast smashin it up with up to four CDJ1000's runnin at once. Toast`s first big appearance was a joint venture between Harmony and Tidy Tracks record label, and has only looked forward since. Toast initially started his profession somewhat different from where he is now. Playing/listening to hard house and trance, he then moved direction into the genre of progressive beats. From there his music policy changed once more to where his heart and soul is now, in the form of Funky House beats, soul pleasing vocals & Jackin House. The origins of House out in Chicago, with its abundance of authoritative DJs like Frankie Knuckles and Farley Jack Master Funk are certainly recognised in Toast`s collection... In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove, And from this groove came the groove of all grooves. And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldly declared "LET THERE BE HOUSE" And house music was born Ibiza trips in 1996, 1997, 2001 & 2007 have had massive influences in his music. Clubs like Pacha, Privilege - Manumission, Es-Paradis, Cafe-Del-Mar & Space are some of his favourite haunts. It was 1996 that got him hooked on the House Music vibe and on returning to the UK he purchsed his prize set of SL1210's and promised one day to return with his tunes in tow, 2007 was the year for the Funky One!!! 2008 once again takin him by storm with DJ sets lined up all across the U.K and Ibiza (ES Vive, Hush, Kanya, Play2, Orange Corner & Eden) 2008 is once again set to be an explosive year for this hard workin DJ who is not shy of mixing it up with the big boys!!!
