This town reproduces the same shit just under a different name...ran by the same people.... the few that try to promote forward thinking music: i.e other that cheesy shit... are swept down rather sharpish, but god bless em they keep on trying..... lets not kid ourselves the harder dance nights @ zoots werent really that good..... if you look at the galleries for slinky, HTID and godskitchen the place is absolutely amazing.... where as zoots failed to pull even a quarter of that crowd, because it doesnt have the following..... nor will any night for that matter... look at the junction in cambridge producing boomslang and warning nights.... and norwich producing pams house and somewhere nights. They do so well because the students and the forward thinking people live there.... not the backwards, set in their ways people that live in KL. Of course there are exceptions but its up to those to do nights elsewhere...just takes a little more effort!

I think you are missing the point sunshine... i am not preaching i i'm voicing my opinion.... and pull your head out of your arse cause this isnt a thread called "what music does martinidry like and dislike" now is it? all i was saying is that kings lynn doesnt have the scene for dance music as many have tried and failed...and i was using places like slinky and godskitchen and HTID as a benchmark as im sure every promoter in that scene strives to be as big as possible or whats the point.... seeing the crowd of 12 dancing round the dj booth must be disappointing for those who put so much effort into it!

Sorry think we went astray! Yeah Lynn is Bolloxs i agree, just didnt think comparing nights in Lynn against global brands is a good comparison! and a little respect should be shown to those that have tried in changing the scene, as now we have been left with nothing!

I remember some good events over the last few years with brands like Tidy coming to town and was cracking nights and mega busy it was Zoots that declined not the nights, the hard nights were all what was on but least it was better then Nothing! , now the only thing coming to town is a bus full of Lithuanians!!

Lynn needs one SMALL venue for underground music for the minority that do want good music.

Decorated the same way Fabric is inside.

Dress code = No Tracksuits - Baseball Caps - Sports Trainers (Not cos all people who wear these things are bad just cos it will keep out the chav's.)

Intelligent friendly bouncers who know the score and can spot who are real trouble makers.

Fully kitted out dj booth and high quality sound system (not just loud).

High quality lighting system.

Small terrace for smokers.

All night licence.

Good bar staff who like the scene.

Small comfortable lounge area to chill out in.

Thats it......so if anyone is willing to finance this i will be willing to build this perfect club ;-)
