Twisted Tuesdays

Twisted Tuesdays Kick off tonight at Evolve Leamington Spa

TinyClaire and SugarDaddySounds have started a new night in Leamington spa to give Leamington a more diverse sound to Tuesday Nights drinking in the town that has before been dominated by the sole presence of sugar as the Tuesday students clubbing venue.

The nights offer a wide range of music including hip hop and Drum & Bass alternating in the main room bi weekly and student classics, cheese, pop, indie and rock in the 1st bar and R&B in the 3rd bar. The amazing drinks promotions have been arranged to not just match sugar but also rival the price as the amazing entrance fee is only £2 and in comparison to what else in the town is on offer on a Tuesday, I would defiantly recommend a trip down to the club to see what is going and, what can I say for £2 how can you miss the change to see the newest up and coming talent in Hip Hop and Drum & Bass and much more.

The line up for tonight’s event is as follows

HARRY E (2 Quick)
DJ ST GEORGE (DMC FINALIST/MYSPACE.COM/DRSTGEORGE)
CAPTAIN FUNKWASH (DELICATESSEN)

I’m happy to announce that there will be 2 open mics on the floor tonight for a battle so if you fancy yourself as a bit of an MC why not come down and show us what you can do, you never know maybe you will be the next big thing on the Hip Hop scene yourself!

The line up for future events is just as exiting, on the 19th September we have Drum & Bass offered up by the new and fresh sounds of Metafiction Teev and Torque. These boys are defiantly worth a look at as you will no doubt be seeing a lot more from them all in the future.

October 10th will bring back the sounds of 2 QUICK’s very own Hip Hop DJ Harry E and DMC finalist DJ St. George, once again with the 2 open mics for battling.

But by far the most exiting contribution TinyClaire and SugarDaddySounds are bringing to previously uneventful Tuesday nights in Royal Leamington Spa is the appearance of DJ HAZARD (Ganja/Radius/3D Mode) on October 17th with a Drum & Bass extravaganza with the sounds of local Drum & Bass boys, Metafiction B2B Teev B2B Torque

“Hazards Drum & Bass career roughly started when he used to work in a record shop called Basement beats with DJ Escape. While working at the shop Hazard managed to get hold of an Atari S.T. and a little Yamaha portable sampler to produce tracks on.
It was about 6 months later when DJ Hazard had at least 4 decent tracks to cut onto dubplate. He began to play these tracks on radio Kool Fm Mids, which actually got quite a bit of response. Out of all the tracks the one that stood out the most was a track called Jayden, which he named after his son.

The time of success was now about to happen, this was when DJ Hazard's close friend called DJ Escape was playing one of his tracks on the radio. After some heavy rotation it eventually caught the attention of J.B a.k.a Dred Bass from Back 2 Basics who heard DJ Escape smashing the dubplate on radio (Kool Fm). This led onto DJ Hazard's Jayden track along with the Year 2000 track being released on the Back 2 Basics off shoot label called Promo Series No.30.

His tracks Year 2000 & Jayden were the best selling and the final release for this label. These tracks were being smashed on Kool Fm Midlands and Kool Fm London as well as in the clubs by the likes of Shy FX, Ash a Tak, Ray Keith, Nicky Blackmarket, Mickey Finn and Kenny Ken.”
