----------------------------------------------------------------------

We have been offered a regular monthly slot at MOO in Leamington to feature drum & bass, breaks, electro and party hip hop which will be loosely tied in with the :stimulus: brand. This will be a part of MOO's new Sunday social schedule in 2008. On our dates expect funky sets from local boys Steve Haines, Poetree, Scratcher’s Delight, Caution, Samas, Urbanite & Bensun alongside drinks promotions galore, the perfect way to wind down the week and start a new one as you mean to go on. We will be looking to bring people in who may not nessesary be suited to the mainroom vibe at the main :stimulus: events at SMACK so expect something a little left of centre for each event. Also, watch out for the :stimulus: DJ competition where the main prize will be to win a MAIN ROOM OR ROOM 2 SET at a forthcoming :stimulus: event as well as support and the possibility of additional prizes from Wheres The Jungle, Seismic Records and Kudos. More details to follow…

We start at MOO on SUNDAY JANUARY 27th 2008 with LYNX –
www.myspace.com/stevelynx (Creative Source, Soul:R, Digital Soundboy, Bingo, 31 Records) who has been responsible for much of this years eyebrow raising and the recent smash on Creative Source “DISCO DODO”. Door price is FREE (yes, FREE) all night so there are no excuses not to get involved…

For any information on this new event, the proposed DJ competition or :stimulus: events in general please feel free to contact us at stimulusdnb@hotmail.co.uk

Lynx was very good, would have been better if a few more ppl were there but it was nice and relaxed.

Thanks to everyone who came down for this, I was personally very satisfied with the turnout given the day of the week and the time of year the event fell on. The main idea was to give people who wanted to hear Lynx in an intimate environment a chance to do so and the settings of MOO allowed him to dig deeper and play some bits he probably wouldn't play normally so I was very happy with that.

We have always thought of this new project as a bit of an experiment really, to provide quality music in a quality setting where people can come and relax and see their mates without the hecticness of a mainroom club event. It was never planned to be a rave. I think nearly all of the objectives we had set were pretty much achieved last night and i'd like to think everyone had a good time :)

Look out for details of the next event coming soon and also a rather special Lynx related competition if I get time to sort it. We'll be rotating the DJ's a lot more for the next few events so if wanna get involved let us know!

Had a great time, loved Lynx's set which was unique in all the sets I've had the privilege of hearing. I agree that it was a good turn-out for the time of year and the fact that it was on a Sunday. Already looking forward to the next event and hopefully, by then, word will have spread and it'll have any even better headcount. Nicely done on the night lads.

Thought Lynx was the nuts, really feeling that style of DnB on a sunday session in that kind of venue, the shaker cocktail was damn fine too, as was the hangover on the monday, roll on the next... 24th Feb....
