For the second Darkside of 2008, I am currently campaigning to have it in the main room again. All those that attended the 1st Birthday bash will remember how good that one was!!

For this month, it's residents month. Feb will see 3 solid sets from DJs Glen and Link as well as myself.

If I manage to get us the main venue again, please please help out and spread the word, even if you can't make. We need to prove to da managment that this night can be big and carry on growing as it has been doing since the move to Leeds. Invite ya buddies to this topic and get em passing on the message. I'm sure we have had enough of Bassline and electro hogging the limelight.

Biography

Cookie, real name Tom Cook, is a 20yr old hard house/NRG DJ based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

He began mixing at the tender age of 16, and began playing in clubs around a year later. During this 3 years he has made appearances at reputable nights such as Invasion, Housewives Choice, Shine, Polysexual & Sundissential Afterparties to name a few. He has is currently resident at Savaged (York), The Howard (Sheffield) and Tuition (Manchester).

Cookie has played on line ups alongside some of the hard dance scene’s biggest names including Lee Haslam, Paul Maddox, JP & Jukesy and GRH. He lists the main influences towards his sound come from producers such as Dave Owens, Riggsy, Jon BW, Frank Farrell, with their hard, hoovery hard NRG sound.

In 2007 Cookie also won the Parlez Vous? & Biscuitmonsters.net Dj Competition, which the previous year had seen Tidy’s Jon BW and Cyberkitten’s Andy Rise finish joint winners. Winning the competition now means Cookie will line up next year alongside some of Hard Dance’s biggest names at Parlez Vous? in Bradford.

As a producer he has had a releases on Toolbox’s Hard Heart Beat and Presence Hard Wave and forthcoming releases on his own digital label, Neet Digital, which is set for launch in early 2008.
