hey everyone, as you can see from the previous thread this event is all for charity - ' Cancer Research UK'

Each year in the UK, more than a quarter of a million people are diagnosed with cancer. The four commonest cancers (breast, lung, bowel and prostate) make up over half of all these cases.

Doctors estimate that more than one in three of us will get some form of cancer at some point in our lives!

Cancer Research UK is the UK's leading charity dedicated to cancer research. They support research into all aspects of cancer through the work of more than 3,000 scientists, doctors and nurses. Their websites have a wealth of information about cancer, research, how to donate and more ways to support an incredible charity that really makes a difference to cancer patients and their loved ones. CancerHelp UK is a free information service about cancer and cancer care for people with cancer and their families.

Their Vision and purpose ..... (http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/aboutus)

1. We carry out world-class research to improve our understanding of cancer and find out how to prevent, diagnose and treat different kinds of cancer

2. We ensure that our findings are used to improve the lives of all cancer patients

3. We help people to understand cancer, the progress we are making and the choices each person can make

4. We work in partnership with others to achieve the greatest impact in the global fight against cancer

"Your support will help us to continue our vital cancer research work. Together we will beat cancer."

Cheers guys for your support, look forward to seeing you all there.

Alot of work has gone in to this to make it a very special night.

The aim is to provide a fantastic atmosphere with great DJ's, fantastic entertainment and feeling of charitability and group achievement. 'No-sting' low door tax with euphoric afterfeeling of having made a contribution to a worthy cause that everyone has a vested interest in or personal connection to.

Who cares about spends, even if the door price is £10? It's for a good cause and so many people are affected by cancer.
My nana (on my mums side) has had breast cancer twice, so far none of her children have had it, which increases the risk that it's skipped a generation. My sister's just had a gorgeous baby boy and it's so scary thinking about the C word.

Don't forget, all tax payers can fill out an address form on the door and consent to gift aid.

This means that the government will contribute an extra 28% of whatever you pay on the door.

There will also be the opportunity to take away a sponsor form and do fundraising activities in your own time.

So does it look like theres a few coming from sheff?

Those up for the coach trip please email your names to lee@the-plug.com so I cant start organising it

£10 Return so no exuses thats probably cheaper than a taxi into and back home from town!
