Wtf
How can a night get all of its rooms closed, and finishes one hour early.....when people have paid £25 to get in!!!

I especially came for the hardcore room, and after being in there for only an hour the security closed the room down (it wasnt even THAT dead).

Is it possible to get my money back? We travelled ALL the way from Doncaster for this night and left VERY peeved off

SHOCKING

Very disappointing :0(
Was really looking forward to this event and there was sum great sets played, but found it hard to get into. They had all the right music/DJs, but no happy atmosphere and not enough people!
Travelled 5hrs for this and must say,i had more fun on the coach there & back than i did in the event! I left the event at 3am to go sit on the coach.

I actually enjoyed myself. I can fully understand why people are annoyed, but I spent my night having brief conversations in between taking photos, and everyone I spoke to was really nice and I saw them all dancing.

In response to the people who turned up Sat we're sorry for the disappointment the Uni started to shut down the rooms as they did not want to keep all the staff on.

Big thank you to all the Djs and Mcs that did turn up, and all those that did promote the event as much as they possibly could and did the jobs that they promised that they would do, especially those who went above and beyond you know who you are.

Big thanks to Bionic, Alan Wilson, Dj Rascal, all the Bionic Djs, Mc Shocker, all the dancers and entertainers, EnergyRush, Tidy and KnownFear.

Rule number one of your club promtion. Never EVER rely on anyone else to do your promotion. 99.9% of the time it never gets done.

i will not be going to an oblivion or bionic night again.
waste of 25pounds and a drive down to leeds.

and i second what little dave said.

don't rely on anyone else to do your promotion.
if you want something done right, do it yourself.

Can I point out please that Bionic along with Tidy were brands that were brought in by Oblivion to host arenas. We weren't actually running the event but providing decor and resident DJs. Also that Cally & Juice, Brian M Vs McBunn, MC Shocker and Bionic took no money from the promoters of the event although they had played as the promotion had lost so much money.....

tidy room was a fucking joke, none of the last 3 dj's ended up playing, the whole event was shit, my first experience of bionic and oblivion and it will be the last, 25 fucking quid!! disgrace!!

Gaz, can u read my comment above. tidy, Bionic, Known fear etc weren't the promoters of the event. The names were used by Oblivion to promoter each of the music styles....

I dunno about anyone else, but i paid my money to see squad e, dj kurt and joey riot, and to be out till 6am.

Alright it wasn't that busy, but to shut the hardcore room at 2 without the headliners even showing up is pretty fucking shocking!

I'm sure i'm not the only one who's annoyed, is anything gonna be done?

Bionic, Tidy and Knownfear were only brands bought in by Oblivion, and were not organisers of the event. Do not let this effect your views of the above promotions, as it was not directly one of their events.

The reason why the rooms were shut were the fact that the university insisted to shut them. we did ask to keep them open but they wanted to shut them. This was the reason why the headlining acts had to be cancelled.

In fairness to Rich the promoter he did everything he could to keep the event running as advertised. We weren't on till reasonably late in the night, and despite by this time knowing he lost a lot of money he didn't call to ask us to turn around as he could've, and didn't ask not to pay us. He was prepared to pay people and take this massive loss personally. As promoters though we put ourselves in his position which is why we decided not to take our fee. As it has been mentioned it was the venue that took the decision to shut the rooms, meaning Rich had no say in this. We're really sorry for anyone who who had a bad experience on the night, you are entitled to make whatever comments you wish obviouly but there were a lot of factors to why the event turned out the way it did.

As it's already been mentioned Bionic weren't involved in the actual running of the event, however as our name was put to it we would like to offer any clubbers who went to this event free entry to any Bionic event in Newport up till and including October's event. All you have to do is send us your proof of purchase of a ticket for this event, or send us the wristband which let you go outside, and we'll grant you free entry. Please pm me for further info.
