Wtf
How can a night get all of its rooms closed, and finishes one hour early.....when people have paid £25 to get in!!!

I especially came for the hardcore room, and after being in there for only an hour the security closed the room down (it wasnt even THAT dead).

Is it possible to get my money back? We travelled ALL the way from Doncaster for this night and left VERY peeved off

SHOCKING

Well i had a fuckin awesome night with all my awesome friends - despite it all - and heard some brilliant sets from genetic fusion + critical justice b2b mr peterz - even though it was dead, ....... Alan wilson, Dj Rascal (with some amazing scratching :-)) Obviously cally and juice - and clarkson who played a brilliant last set :-)

I can understand why ppl are unhappy.......but i just think life is too short!

I've only just read this thread, well not even all of it, i don't need to to understand how poorly organised, and arranged this event was.

i've lived, DJed, and gone out clubbing and worked within the nightclub industry in Leeds for the last 9 years. in all my time i've never heard of such a poorly run event.

i saw no promotion whatsoever. u can't rely on message boards to promote an event, especially an event of the size that was planned. u need flyers and posters everywhere.. u can not rely on word of mouth to fill a venue the size of stylus... its impossible.

to lay the blame on the uni closing down the rooms is shocking. the only people to blame for the club closing its rooms early are the promoters. when i was managing nightclubs, and had an outside promoter in.. i've had to cancel/close rooms due to poor numbers. at the end of a day, Stylus is a business - they're looking after themselves before they look after the promoter. If the people running the night have failed to sell enough tickets, tough shit, the club will want to close.

I have no doubt whatsoever that these promoters knew that the ticket numbers were fucking awful, but they still failed to make arrangements and amendments to the night. they could've closed a couple of rooms, and condensed DJs from all rooms down so everyone still coming had someone to see.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but what does a "Promoter" have to do? Oh, yeh, get off their arses and PROMOTE they're night.

This sounds like a proper disaster. £25 for a half arsed attempt at an event.. i'd feel robbed if i'd of spent that.

I originally wasnt going to come to this night but after getting on it with mates and the missus and being persuaded to get my sorry ass out i caved in and got changed jumped in the taxi and went out all on a buzz and happy to be going out.
Upon arrival to the venue i was shocked to pay £25, this sort of ticket price is the sort of price that you would normally have for a well established night such as tidy, crasher or polys or the such. and even then it would only be for a big bank holiday event or one off thing. Not the price for a club that I have never heard of that was supposedly celebrating its 1st birthday????!!!!! Come on guys just cos its ur first birthday and you book a load of big name dj's in a huge venue does not mean that you can charge the earth and honestly expect people to?????????!!!!!!! After supposedly being around for a year by now you should have enough experience to know that these factors alone are not enough to make a night sell.
As a co-promoter at severla nights over the years i have found that one thing matters and matters above all else!!! Promotion! Promotion!Promotion! PROMOTION!!!!!!!!!!! jesus is it that hard?????? For such a big event you would expect it to be plastered the length and breadth of the country!!!!! every music event of a dance nature within a 100 mile radius should of been hit with groups of people flyering. How else do you expect anyone to know about it????I certainly hadnt up until a week before.

Once in the club tbh i was impressed..........well by the venue at least.what a place and what possibilites there are for such a thing. But alas it was not meant to be. the djs that played(and there wasnt many!!) were good.the sound system could of been better. especially in the tidy room.It just seemed to lack.

And the thing that rally narked me!!!!! was the tidy room being closed early and being left with Hardstyle. But Gladly there was another saving answer to this!!! To go home!!!!!! And that was probably the best choice i made all night.

I have never felt so Robbed for a night out clubbing than i did after this that i had to come on here and voice my opinions. And from what i have seen these are opinions felt by the few other people that were there!!!!!!!

So if there is anything that the promoters can learn from this is to not think you can play with the big boys!!!!! cos obviously you can't!!!!!!
