Temptingly close to the Leeds Uni lecture buildings (just after Park Lane College and the Dental Hospital), the Fav has a way of drawing you in for that ‘quick’ afternoon pint. Once inside The Faversham though you don’t want to leave, the recent revamp opening up the place and giving it a very spacious, airy feel. The long bar is nice when it is busy and there is a perfectly placed leather sofa in front of a gigantic TV screen. There is also a pool room out the back with two decent tables and an old skool Pac Man game to reminisce as you wait for a table to become free. In fact this place is bursting with cool entertainment such as table football, and 3D golf on computer. A nice little grass patch out the front has been turned into a beer garden and they have been successful in obtaining a late license. Music highlights include The Sunday Sessions which are a welcome alternative to the hustle and bustle of the weekend. Home cooked Sunday roasts, live music and free newspapers. Food is served from 12pm to 6pm, with live music from 6pm in the Main Room and Conservatory. Free entry up to 8pm, then £3 after (however this may increase, depending on the acts). Saturday nights are Bad Sneakers nights with bands on between 7.30pm and 11pm, with the club night running from 11pm-2.30am. £4/£3 NUS and members all night The Faversham is open daily from noon for food and drinks, with DJs in the evenings playing until 2am
