After hearing lots of good reports about Riff Raff from several sources but never managing to get there. I was finally dragged there by Stupid666, a Riff Raff regular, and the expectations of the night he gave me certainly weren't over-exaggerated. Never before have I encountered an atmosphere like the one at the West Indian Centre where clubbers from all different walks of life converged and were all there for one thing, to have a rave! Still suffering from going out the night before i didnt think I could last till 4 never mind 5, but the energetic performances from DJX and Glowbones gave me that second wind to carry on the final beat. Defining the music at Riff Raff is impossible but whatever musical tastes you prefer they have it, only better. Imagine if you take al the harder music styles you like then put them all in a mixing bowl and sprinkle on a nice dose of filth mix it all up bake for 40 mins then there you have Riff Raff! A cake of destruction on your feet, because once youve had a nibble on this , you will not stop dancing! With such a friendly and welcoming crowd I will be making many returns to Riff Raff, after all they have been gong 9 years so they must be doing something right, and i experienced it finally.

That's right, two of the reasons I love Riff Raff: 1) Friendliness - never really grasped the concept of 'unfriendly clubbing' by the way 2) The playful, happy vibe reminds me of the raves of the early '90

was a pleasant suprise to see you grace the halls of the west indian scotty haha, but im glad you enjoyed yourself. RR seems to be the hidden gem of the north imo. when peeps stumble across it an come see what all the fuss is about they realise how special a night it is. ITs a pleasant change to all the standard music and dj's you hear and see in most commercial nights, serving up sounds from the alternative side of hard dance, which many find highly refreshing...thrw in probs the best crowd and party atmosphere ive ever found in my raving escapades up and down the country and you have probably the best underground party you'll find in the north, if not the country!

good going back to the west indian centre last time i was there was when proteus was on the decks. glad i went. and will be again.

its held in a community centre just outside leeds centre. 2nd saturday of every month mate

Absolutly mint night, definatly recommend it to anyone. Mint venue, mint tunes.

Sounds quality. How its been described reminds me of how Headcharge was when it was at the Arches in Sheffield. Hard music, with clubbers from all walks of life.
