I wish Riff Raff would do a bit of Hardstyle aswell as the other hard genres, dont get me wrong i love a bit of hard techno/trance, but hardstyle is my true love and i just think it would make the event much better and appeal to more people in the hard scene, cheers for listening to the rant!

Oh dearrrry me. This whole thread is brilliant and proves exactly why Riff Raff might not have the same vibe it used to; everyone takes themselves and the night way too seriously and are trying to intefere too much with how the residents run it. The night's music style is bound to change over time and there's nothing wrong with that.
Let them do their job. If it's shit, don't go. Simple. :)

I havn't actually heard anyone complain about the way Riff Raff was the last time on the positive ^^

Been going for 4 and 1/2 years, personally I enjoy it like the first time I went, or more...

Hence the 'might' :). Though if people stopped complaining so much all the time, it'd leave a much better atmosphere for everyone else who still enjoys it. Constructive criticism is all well and good, but it gets to the point where people just want to see what THEY like, no matter what anyone else might think.

i can see how it's useful to help us be specific and differentiate between stuff, but when it gets used as a means to be derogatory, then it's just another example of how our potential can be turned from something positive into something negative imo.

brilliant - and finally... this is some wise words....
a focus on what riff raff isn't doing isn't helpful for anyone... feedback, all well and good but some of the comments are only acheivable if riff raff becomes something completey different..

Lots of poeple love riff raff to bits, some people fall in and out of love..

And kudos Steph, too many conversations about riff raff descend into arguments about how the music and atmosphere has changed. I'm still loving it even if other people aren't :)
