I wish Riff Raff would do a bit of Hardstyle aswell as the other hard genres, dont get me wrong i love a bit of hard techno/trance, but hardstyle is my true love and i just think it would make the event much better and appeal to more people in the hard scene, cheers for listening to the rant!

yeah i was just thinkin today after u mentioned that last night.... ashan project are gonna be regulars now arent they?? So i dont mind missin them this time cos we'll just catch em next time they play. And kutski shouuuuuld be pretty mental at hardertoiiimz.

I have just spent ages reading through this thread and was going to quote everything with my responses but, all it comes down to is that I said I'd never go to RR again if it was *just* hardstyle. Which i think is fair pop for all the reasons everyone else has stated, alienating half the crowd, lots of hardstyle nights in existence etc etc. I don't even mind a bit being slipped in for variation, I love variation at riff raff.


I've not enjoyed the ones I went to the last couple of times for several reasons which I'm not going to bore anyone by going over again. I just wanted a break, have been exploring other avenues of fun and frolicks, as Chris suggests :P

We're all too skint to waste money on things we don't enjoy! I cant see my hiatus lasting, I just don't want to return to RR and hear a metric fuck tonne of hardstyle. Less is more, people!

As you're not a riff raffer I'm not sure why this concerns you so much. But I don't assume anything. I've listened to enough hardstyle to make my own sodding mind up about it, thankyouverymuch.

Dont you agree? I mean, out of the Eight hours (on average) in a club there is bound to be something played that isn't to everyones tastes but I would never refuse to go back to a club just because they played something i didn't like.

Why is it 'pathetic' if someone chose to do something that ultimately is only going to affect them? Many people stop going to nights out if/when they don't enjoy them anymore, it's not abnormal practice.

I didn't say I wouldn't go if they played a bit of hardstyle.. They already play a bit of hardstyle. You keep arguing with subjective viewpoints, so it seems to me that you think you are right.

The original point i was making (back on page one) was that i find it pathetic when people said if hardstyle was played they wouldnt return to riff raff because you cant expect to like everything thats played in Eight Hours.

I dont care if you dont like Hardstyle, I really couldn't give two shits but I just find it amusing for someone to say that they'd never return to Riff Raff if hardstyle was played.

this looks to me like golgotha never called lotska pathetic, but that she was referring to the decision to not go somewhere because the music isn't always doing it for you..

some statements then got made that could be perceived as personal critisisms, which is generally a good starting point for ppl to get defensive and start biting back.

it seems to me tho that when you go back to the original statements being made, everyone is just expressing their opinions.

i think that if we could just stick to doing that without getting personal, then we could all engage in arguments without any bad vibes x
