Thanks from Futureglow
Hi all,
Well what a fookin night!
We have worked for 2 months to create our 10th event and each and every hour we put into it was certainly worth it!
Starting with the pre-party, big up to all the artists that played, and massive shouts to everyone who attended, unfortunately i was unable to attend due to commitments at Emperia, but i heard good things, and we hope you enjoyed you time at the Sun bar, its a lovely venue that i can assure you will be in use again ;)

On to the main event then...

It was certainly very good to see a long and excited que weaving round the streets of leicester from emperia when we come out of the venue.
We opened on time and it was the start of our first event in over a year!!!
It really did not hit us to what an exciting and sucessful night it was going to be until we looked over the balcony from upstairs at about midnight and seen a very very busy main room which looked ace!!!
As this is just a short review untill we get back to the office i will bring up a few points and shouts, firstly shouts go out to Nik and Sunny at Emperia, these guys are the best businessmen i have ever had the pleasure of working with, they have an amazing club and cant wait to work with them with Future projects at Emperia, also shouts go out to all the team, also just to bring up for around 5 mins we had a slight technical defect with one of the decks in the main room, thanks to matty our sound engineer ;) we had things back up and ruinning very very swiftly, massive shouts go to the doormen, these guys were absolutely fantastic and really shown a friendly and helpfull presence through out the night. Big up Alc for providing us with a wicked second room! heard good things guys!!!

and a few more people who deserve a mention...

Lucy (Rugby Advertiser), Graham (Nuneaton Town Football Club), Jenny (Hinckley Times), TDS Limited (Event sponsorship), Oak fm, Leicester sound radio, MC Burn, Marc disfuncktion, matty, louis, squishy raver, all the DJ'S and MC's too many to mention (were on a library pc right now haha so have to hurry!)

right if anyone would like to put on a review of the night that would be great, we will be back home in about 2-3 days and will post one aswell.

Well its been and gone and were working on event 11, 12, and 14 as we speak (we will keep you informed guys!!!)

And in the words of MC Storm, the Futureglow team would like to thank the most important people involved with the night and thats YOU the raver!
see you soon!

Having seen your review i have to say that i disagree with most of the things you have said.
I made the journey all the way from brum for this and i have to say i was very angry and disappointed....

When i finally found the club and parked i desended on my walk to the club down a very narrow street, We arrived at the venue and the atmosphere seemed wicked in the que :) We got in and the club was ok with some quality tunage being played. The only problem was the sound?? it seemed very distorted and at times it became very hard to hear the music and the mcs, this got wosre and worse as the night went on. Sy hit the decks and i was having a real good stomp untill a fight broke out which seemed to dampen the atmosphere and everything became very uneasy. There was alot of people with attitude in the rave which got worse and worse as people got more drunk, one girl who had had alot to drink even asked one of my friends what she was looking at when she walked past her and started hurling abuse at her after telling her nothing?? WTF was all that about? I went to one of the bouncers and he really didnt seem bothered, he just said to me dont worry about it and then carried on drinking his redbull.
I carried on stomping after that and then another fight happened and on that note i left.

I have to say that this seem a vey 'townie' club with some very strange people in there who seemed just to stair at you. I even seen one person ask the bar staff what time they where gonna play rnb or 'something we know'???

I can saftly say that i will never be attending again, fair crack you get the odd idiot but there seemed to be a hell of alot of people with attitude in there who imo didnt even no it was a rave.

untill a fight broke out which seemed to dampen the atmosphere and everything became very uneasy.

The fight that broke out was nothing to do with futureglow, there were loads of angry asians coming from zanzibar's foam party and they were pissed off that the bouncers would not let them in due to good management, they knew they were trouble makers and knew that it would disrupt the good vibes going on inside the club..the sound will be sorted on the next event but due to the bassline event the night before the drivers in the subs needed to be repared, and the moniters were working on the sound check but they were not working when brisk went to do his set i personaly tryed to repare the problem but was unable to..not to mention the gain levels were peaking into the reds..but we have taken all of the downfalls into account and informed the management and they will be sorted before the next event.
once again we are truley sorry for anything that upset the ravers all we try to do is put on a good night for every one who loves there hardcore.
simon (dj sy) said "there was a great atmosphere in the club" and thanx every body for coming, because with out the ravers they wouldn't be where they are...many thanx to everybody that turned up because we had a great night (minus mr man who is officialy no longer part of the futureglow team) many thanx for letting us know about the downfalls so we can correct them for future events.. many thanx once again

the bouncers thought they can tell you what you can and carnt wear music was too cheesey

I know about the incident with the bouncers telling people to put there shirts back on, i did get this problem sorted in the end, thing is this was the first time that the club had changed most of there rules since opening, all in all i did think the door staff were superb.

To be honest i noticed a comment regarding a fight? i was in the main arena through out Sy and Storms set and did not witness any such thing, i have also since been in contact witht the head doorman that was working that night and he also did not hear of anything of any kind happening, and to make sure, this afternoon i arranged a meeting with the club and viewed the whole of Sy and Storms set via cctv footage that we had in place and still i did not see any fight happening.
I did go out of my way today to see if there was anything like a fight happening due to the fact that i like everyone that comes to Futureglow to have a safe and pleasant time.

On the other hand i did hear of an incident outside the venue but my colleague has covered that from what i can see.

Sy hit the decks and i was having a real good stomp untill a fight broke out

and just to inform you that there was no fight inside the arena as we have confirmation with the many bouncers inside room 1...maybe they were messing around? if there was any fights kicking off im sure sy would have stopped the music or storm would have said something...however im not doubting you as there was a small amount of commotion outside the club and as i have said it was nothing to do with futureglow it was from another club...also what you have to remember this is the first hardcore event that this club has put on and believe me guys it won't be the last,
the staff will now know what to expect on the next event which will be bigger and better..

our apologies if you at any time felt uneasy this WILL NOT happen again

many thanks Mad-ed-Matty-futureglow

i didnt expect to read some of the comments on this page! this was my second rave in leicester and if i could fault anything i would say who ever is in charge would just need to make the sound a little better. apart from that i and my raving buds had a wicked time. i do actually think i was having a fag when this fight happend. and what mad man says is true enough, they got mardy because the door guy refused entry. which i would assume is a good desision by them. i also did not see any fights and i was on the dance floor most ofthe night. at least all the artists turned up and played, unlike some events i have been to recently!
thanks for a wicked night,. cant wait for the next one!!!

All im gonna say is well done to all the futureglow team, i felt the night went very well, and there was only a small bit of trouble that i saw and that was outside, it was a great atmosphere and the ravers did themselves proud.
Thanx to gaz & Mr man for the booking Hope to catch ya all again soon.

I thought it was a brilliant night and was gutted I have to leave early, my driver had things to do on Monday.
The only complaint I have is the sound in the main room, it was terrible and really needs to be looked into. The club though is wicked, nice little gem you've got there. Keep up the good work, Gaz.

Yea that was a bit too much for a bottle, tho the upstairs mens toilet did have cold water coming out of it, but not the downstairs toilets.....
