Wez Clarke (Hed Kandi) @ Helsinki, Leicester for Reelgroove's Charity Launch(World AIDs Day-1st Dec)

Friday 1st December will see Reelgroove launch its new weekly Friday night residency at the plush clubbing venue Helsinki, Leicester located by the new theatre development. Music policy is vocal, soulful, club, latin house music… basically anything and everything not minimal or techy. This will be provided by residents Greg Dorban & Andy Bunney.

The launch party will be headlined by Wez Clarke from Hed Kandi. Entry on the door is free before 10:30 & cocktail offer before 11!!! Doors open @ 9, and expect the party to carry on well into the late hours of Saturday Morning!

The lavish launch party will be in held in charity to increase awareness around AID’s and raise finance to support local AID’s charity ‘Trade’. Door proceeds will support this.

In a short space of time since becoming a Hed Kandi resident, Wez has established himself as one of their leading DJ’s. This has lead to him performing at many high profile clubs within the UK. This includes Ministry Of Sound (London), Gatecrasher (Sheffield), Discotheque (Leeds), Digital (Newcastle), The Arches (Glasgow), Canvas (London), Brunel Rooms (Swindon), Ice Factory (Perth). His touring has taken him across the globe visiting Holland, Colombia, Germany, Turkey, Spain, Russia, USA and Brazil.

In the past Wez has remixed for artists including Annie Lennox and Moloko, and broken into daytime playlist of BBC Radio 1 for over a month with the single ‘the What Can I Do?’. More recently, Wez has teamed up with Hed Kandi's Rob Wilder on remixes for Switch, Solu Music, Nate James and Shiny Grey. Wez and Rob have also recently gained major support and play from the single, ‘Stand Up’ featuring vocals from Katherine Ellis (as famed by 'Make A Move On Me')

Friday 22nd December: Xmas Party: Paul Farris (Fourfour / Defected) – celebrating Christmas in style with one of the UK’s most respected artists from within the house music scene. Previously being on of the longest standing residents for Defected In The House & Ministry Of Sound, founder of the House Music Awards and manager of Uptown Records his achievements speak for themself! This will also be Paul’s last midlands performance before he departs for Australia, so all that know him… come and say goodbye!
