This month, Organic proudly presents Renaissance and Kiss Da Funk resident, SONNY WHARTON!

“What makes Sonny stand out from the pack is his combination of talent and determination.” – DJ MAG

Sonny Wharton is one of the most in-demand new DJs on the club circuit today. After winning the Renaissance mix-tape competition in DJMag Sonny stormed Ibiza landing a weekly residency at Manumission, rocking Amnesia and DJing on Radio 1!

Since then he’s racked up slots at the likes of Ministry Of Sound, Pacha, Godskitchen, Chibuku and Renaissance and consistently gains rave reviews in the media; DJMag, Mixmag, IDJ and MTV all included.
Hailed as one of the original 'Mixmag Future Hero's alongside Nic Fancuilli and Tom Neville worldwide demand has seen Sonny rock numerous clubs and festivals in Australia, Brazil, China, Mexico, Morocco, Russia and USA, hold down a monthly residency in Barcelona, Spain, complete two solo world tours and play to 1 million people at The Berlin Love Parade in Germany.

Sonny's productions and remixes have become some of the biggest tunes of 2008 for the likes of Sander Kleinenberg, Pete Tong, Mark Knight, Steve Angello and Roger Sanchez proving Sonny has a promising studio presence with forthcoming releases already lined up on labels Ministry Of Sound, Data, Whoop! and The Payback Project.

Renowned amongst the industry for his energetic performance and 3 deck wizardry, audio giants Ecler have invited Sonny to become the head of their 2008 UK Pro Team to showcase his skills on their mixers and play a key role in their brand exposure.

For such a fresh face on the scene things are looking very exciting indeed!

“Hot new talent!” – ANNIE NIGHTINGALE (BBC Radio 1)

“Tipped for the top” – MIXMAG
