Judge Jules Chats about Judgement Sundays @ Passion to Genix

Judge Jules Interview…
On June 7th Passion take on a slice of Ibiza when Judge Jules brings his famous Judgement Sundays brand to the emporium along with a few friends. For the very first time these heavyweight brands collide… both known for electric atmospheres and cutting edge music it looks a night simply not to be missed…
We decided to catch up with head honcho Jules ahead of this battle of the heavyweights…..

::GENIX::We all anticipate every Passion event we put on.. but this time we have the extra special influence of your famous brand.. What do you think it will add to Passion on the June 7th event..?
::JULES :: Passion is always good, so I wouldn’t be as big-headed as to suggest that Judgement Sundays’ presence will make the night any stronger than it already is, but the timing, on the opening weekend of our 2008 Ibiza season, could almost be described as kickstarting the summer...

::GENIX :: Your brand has been a huge success over the years in Ibiza and you are continuing your ‘San Antonio Dominance’ with another season this year.. have you seen a change in the past few years in the clubbing culture there?
::JULES :: San Antonio has lost the last of the yobs who were attracted some years back by “Ibiza Uncovered”, and these days pulls in a very musically knowledgeable crowd. It’s this passion for music that sets Ibiza apart from other holiday locations (and of course, the fabulous clubs.)

::GENIX :: Judgement Sunday’s is touring the UK at some big clubs before the Ibiza season explodes. This time its Passion’s turn.. Does Passion hold any special personal memories or moments that stand out to you as you have been a special guest over the years…?
::JULES :: Passion has always been one of my favourite UK events to play. There are less dedicated trance-based clubs than there used to be, and Passion has always been one of the world’s finest, through thick and thin.

::GENIX :: There are many britts that travel to the white isle … to visit Judgement Sundays. Do you think the clubbing scene and atmosphere differs from the UK?
::JULES :: It’s absolutely amazing every week. Forget everything- the dj’s, brand image, dancers, sound system etc... What has made JS so successful is that no club or night on the White Isle has better atmosphere. It has to be seen to be believed...

::GENIX :: You have probably been asked this hundreds of times but for those who don’t know… where did your DJ name come from? An old nickname maybe?
::JULES :: I’ve got a university degree in law, hence the nickname, which (like all good monikers) was given to me by my mates, as opposed to being created personally.

::GENIX :: Briefly…Do you have any interesting DJ stories from your travels? Any strange things you’ve encountered?
:: JULES :: Different crazy stuff every week... Power cuts in clubs always generate some funny situations, with the whole crowd singing in unison, and going absolutely ballistic when the sound comes back.

::GENIX :: We all know you for your trance sets… but you also play some house sets like you will at Passion on June 7th. What do we expect..? is this just a bit of fun?
:: JULES :: Just a bit of fun really... Trancey tunes are my day job.

Thank you very much for your time…. We are excited to welcome you back to Passion! See you on the 7th!!!.....
