Cream Easter Special @ Nation
Saturday 15th April 2006
We are pleased to announce the first Cream party of the year at Nation on Saturday 15th April Easter Bank Holiday Weekend and what a line up we’ve got in store! We welcome the return of Subliminal headhoncho Erick Morillo, a sure fire guarantee to raise the roof in the Main Room with a dose of his trademark chunky funky house sound! In addition we bring you the talented UK producer, remixer and DJ Tom Neville. Having scooped the award for ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ in the House Music Awards and having remixed tracks for the likes of New Order and Kelis, we can expect nothing but the best from this new hero of electro! To top things off we welcome back our unofficial residents Gareth Wyn and Anthony Probyn if anyone knows how to ignite Cream’s dancefloor its these guys!
The Courtyard is all about Electro! Hosted by the Section 8 Theatre we can expect to see something a little bit different! Section 8 will be bringing a magical, mystical stage show with them with a hint of Burlesque! Throughout the night expect to see a host of performers from the Whoopee Beaux Belles tap dancing troupe (all to House Music!) to the infamous Gwendoline L’Amour (a favourite at the Agent Provocateur Shows) expect to see some flesh!!!! All of this will be serenaded with music from the Swedish house mafia, including Steve Angello who has since recovered from his festive illness and now back on top form! Steve has graced the front cover of Mixmag in recent months and is a rising star on the DJ Circuit. Joining him will be Axwell a highly acclaimed Producer and at the helm of some of the fantastic music that is coming out of Sweden at the moment, you may be familiar with his awesome remix of Hard-Fi’s Hard To Beat! In addition we welcome another swede Sebastian Ingrosso, joining the trio will be Lee Ellis.
Back by popular demand in the Annexe will be Cream Classics all night long! Heading up the proceedings will be CJ Mackintosh. Look at the history of clubland, and you’ll find his name is woven inextricably into the tale. Joining him will be another of dance music’s icons Graeme Park, needing no introduction Parky as he’s affectionately known is one of Cream’s favourite former residents, he’s got a record collection to die for and has a way of generating an atmosphere of utter indulgence! Cream Classics just wouldn’t be the same without James Barton and so once again we pull him out of semi-dj-retirement, he will be playing back to back with babycream Resident Andy Mac, and last but by no means least K-Klass return, without doubt a highlight not to be missed!
This event is to be broadcast on Radio City on Friday 21st April between midnight – 2am . To avoid disappointment please purchase advance tickets which are on sale now!
