House, Breakbeat, Ableton!!
Well, where do we start?! What an absolute belter of a night November's Funkadelic turned out to be. A big, BIG "thank-you" to everyone and anyone that came down to check us out, with particular thanks to the DSI posse - Dawn2006, juiced-up-jen, and Kilcoyne. Particular thanks to Kilcoyne and Co, it was a real pleasure to meet you guys! I'll listen to them CD's asap and get in touch!

The night kiced off with our customary pre-party at Revolution on Wood Street, and despite being minus a booth monitor (bars and equipment - nightmare!!!) both myself and Steve Brown had the Revo massive dancing like the best of them, with Candela and Other Woman being the most well received tunes of my set!!

Moving on to the Barfly I kicked the evening off with a selection of deep & US house including rubs from Style of Eye (We Got You) and Inland Knights (None Of Those - possibly my favourite house tune at the moment)

Next up to the 'tables was none other than Discoff, who jacked it up a notch and banged out some proper filthy tunes, really getting the growing crowd moving with his particular brand of sick and twisted electro-house!!

Steve Brown followed and his breakbeat set changed the pace a bit but the re-appearance of the Stanton's remix of Crosses (a Funkadelic classic) went down an absolute treat!! As did the cool as custard scratching!!

When Paul Nolan took to the stage the Bar was packed, and the Funkadelic crew eagerly awaited Paul's first Ableton Live set. Using his Novation Keyboard Paul proceeded to bang the fcuk out of the Barfly with a dirty excursion through house music, taking in old classics such as Voodoo Ray. With cries of "one more tune" as the lights came up, it was clear that everyone had had an absolutely amazing time!! Possibly the best Funkadelic ever?? Until the next one...

:-)

Funkadelic
xx

P.S. Look out for details of Funkadelic and In Stereo's New Years Eve Party taking place at Hannah's Bar on Leece Street in Liverpool. Details to appear on DSI shortly!!

Had a quality night

Wasn't really meant to be in there as i had paid to go in to slide but there was no one stopping you walking between the two rooms.

Only went upstairs for a quick look at the begining of the night, couldnt tear myself away.

Really enjoyed all the sets!

Cheers guys!! Hopefully see you at some future Funkadelic's. Keep your eyes peeled on DSI for line-ups etc.

We've got the NYE Party at Hannah's coming up, and we're involved in a Warehouse Party on the 16th December. If you haven't been to one of these Gimpfist / Lost Property Warehouse parties i seriously recommend you check them out. It's like old school raving in a dingy warehouse its ace. This one is a collaboration between various nights, including ourselves and Chibuku, with each night supplying two DJ's. Should be fun!! Laughing gas bar will be preset too :-)

Tom - you owe us £4 then mate!! Haha, only kidding ;-)
