Freeze brings Orbital and Friendly Fires to Battersea Power Station

The UK’s biggest ever winter sports and music festival, Freesports on 4 FREEZE sponsored by LG, is returning to London following the phenomenal success of last year’s event.

Less than four months before the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the FIS-sanctioned World Cup event will kick off the UK winter sports season with the ski, snowboard and music festival taking place from Friday October 30 to Sunday November 1.

Battersea Power Station will be transformed into an international competition standard snowboarding and freeski venue to host world class skiers and snowboarders from around the world.

Win tickets for Swedish House Mafia at Brixton Academy

We've teamed up with those house music peeps at Defected and Subliminal to offer you and three friends the chance to see Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso in action at Brixton Academy on Friday November 6.

This will be the first time that London has hosted a party with the force of nature that is Swedish House Mafia since last Easter's shindig at Koko.

To stand the chance of winning Brixton tickets for you and three friends plus copies of Steve Angello's hot new Subliminal Winter Sessions compilation to hammer at home, just answer the following question in the comments box below.

Which country's capital is Stockholm? We'll pick a winner on November 1. Normal Mixmag Ts and Cs apply.

Justice and Plumps added to Ministy's NYE at The O2

Justice will play Ministry of Sound's NYE event at The O2.

This will be the French duo's first UK performance in over a year.

Plump DJs have also been added to the bill plus Radio 1 have confirmed they'll be broadcasting live from the event.

Justice and the Plumps join Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Dave Spoon and Example making this arguably the hottest ticket in the UK this NYE.
