MOOCH!N @ 54 MILE END
SATURDAY JULY 19th 2008
After a well-earned break, Moochin return with yet another strong line-up and their organic party atmosphere to provide you with some of the best house music around.

CLUB:
Special guest DJ Truman Industries will head up the night, and having released on Jeoy Youngman's Jackin Tracks and Chicago'sinfamous DAE Records, you know the set will be pure quality, with smooth, sexy vocals and crisp, jackin beats.

Up next is Giom, a new addition to the regular team at Moochin HQ, which is something quite exclusive in between his Fabric gigs, US tours and frequent masturbation. This chap has bribed some great labels into putting out his work, including Amenti, Aroma, Blackcherry, Flavour, Tango, and appears on CDs from OM, Fabric and Primal.

New recruit Jon Fynn was raised by wolves as a baby, which may explain why he has no table manners, but luckily they did teach him how to pick out quality tunes and beatmatch them. We wanted to get Jon onboard as a full-time Moochin Resident because he has played for us at various times in various venues and he always hits the spot. Plus we thought it would be politically correct to have a homosexual DJ too.

Lee Jarvis is Moochin's head honcho, organising and performing at over 50 parties over the last four and a bit years. The new additions to the Moochin team also mark a change of pace for ol' Jarvis - he's going to be spending most of his time over the next two years in Chicago. Whilst still returning a few times a year for Moochin gigs, this July party will be a bit of a leaving do, with a special Back2Back set with a surprise guest DJ ;)

We've made the most of the new 2 room venue, 54 Mile End, by bringing in Some of the finest music that Purple Radio has to offer. The aggregate age of these three djs probably exceeds that of your typical HTID night, but through the years, they’ve amassed the kind of record collections which get vinyl geeks very excitable indeed. All three regularly feature in Purple Radio’s club nights held at the Big Chill Bar and Big Chill House, and they will be combining to bring a large dose of funk to Mile End on the 19th.
BAR:
Mr Black - When he’s not running a fledgling internet radio station which emerged from the Big Chill’s online community, ageing disco dolly and Purple Radio head honcho Mr Black does his best to keep it Balearic (whatever that means) every Friday night on the radio between 10pm and 2am, and flies the Purple flag at a variety of nights around London.
Lenodd - Len’s tightly-mixed sets encompass everything from Detroit techno and drum & bass to disco, house, breaks & beats plus the occasional downtempo number for any clapped out ravers.
Monty - Monty's formative DJing career began in the early nineties. After a lengthy hiatus, Monty was lured out of DJing retirement in 2006 by Lee Jarvis to offer support for Mooch!n with the promise of women, booze and untold wealth. Sadly for Monty, Jarvis was lying. Monty now masquerades as a purveyor of Balearic beats and early disco & house classics on Purple Radio.
