After the major success of our opening night where back and boy are we moving some goal posts and fronting our DJ que on this MASSAVE night are arguably two of the UK’s finest. Yes you got it; Trophy Twins and Tom Neville are making their debut appearances at Polaroid @ 54 Commercial St.
But first up, kicking off the proceedings on this action packed Polaroid night will be two Shoreditch locals, Dick Lipps and Eddie George. In what is a another exclusive for Polaroid @ 54, Dick Lipps and Eddie George will be taking the centre stage for the first time with their twisted disco and up front house, and are guaranteed to get the party off to a flyer!
Next up on the wheels of steel, “Sick on the Dance Floor” resident and 54 regular, Gareth Wyld. The”Wyld Thang” will be spinning an eclectic mix of funky techno and pumping house
Hard on Gareth Wyld’s heels is a double act that should require no introduction, they’ve been consistently at the forefront of the house music scene for easily the past 5 years and their talent has opened the doors for them at every Super Club these shores have to offer. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Trophy Twins. The twins play various styles of house, crossing numerous genres from French and US House, through to pumping House and Deep 'n' Dark Tribal sounds.
They began their career in the North of England at clubs like Gatecrasher, but these days are recognized on an International level, playing shows in South Africa, China, Spain, Denmark, Slovenia, Singapore, Jakarta, Poland, Ukraine, Finland, Dubai and of course Ibiza. Nationally they play for Pacha, Godskitchen, Progression, Bedrock, Shine, Colours, Honeyclub, The Cross, Escape and Play. You can catch the “KissdaFunk” residents for one night only at Polaroid @ 54 Commercial Street.
These two funkers are sure to blow the roof of 54 and the surrounding buildings, so make sure you’re there to see them in action!!!
Following these two bad boyz is another home grown London talent. Tom Neville kicked off 2008 with a helter-skelter tour of Australia & New Zealand.
Talented remixer and well renowned producer Tom Neville is set for the most exciting year to date With LoveminusZero (his own label) proving a roaring success with releases including that of Specktrum, Tommy fourseven and Chaim. Tom is also no stranger to impressive remix action. Already known for his remixes of 'Milshake' by Kelis and 'Destroy Rock & Roll' by Mylo, Tom has more recently lent his magic remix touch to hot new fodder 'Don't Be Shy' by new pals Spektrum, as well as new mixes for the huge breakthrough band, The Feeling and cult sensation Mika, The Ting Tings an Ocelot.
After the builders have been in to repair the roofs, next up is Polaroid resisdent, promoter & co creator Lex. Lex’s funky electronic style should bring some calm after the storm that will undoubtably be created.
Following Lex is another promoter and DJ, Andy burby who’s Sick on the dance floor brand has gone from strength following the launch just over two years ago , This is by far Polaroids and 54’s best show and strongest line up to date and goes with out saying that you cannot afford to miss it!
