Muak Welcomes Deep House Souldiers’ Matthew Bandy

Saturday 15th November sees Muak (People Together) welcome Matthew Bandy, one half of the acclaimed production and DJ duo ‘Deep House Souldiers’, to perform a special headline set at London’s Bar 54.

Joining Matthew on the night to deliver the next instalment of real House music will be Muak founders Zaki and Manish, alongside resident Soy Mustafa.

Matthew Bandy has been experimenting with electronic music for the past nine years as a DJ, producer, live performer, and label manager.

With a diverse range of influences taking in Jazz, Hip-Hop, Rock, Soul, Punk, the Fender Rhodes, percussion and mix-tapes, his style can best be described as music with concept and soul. As Matthew himself puts it, “Whether producing, DJing, or playing live, I always keep in mind a simple goal, which is to touch people through music the way music has touched me.”

As a producer and live act Matthew created the moniker of ‘Deep House Souldiers’ with partner and close friend Joel Jackson - a concept that expresses their ideas and goals through their music.

Currently working on solo projects, including the creation of Limestone Recordings, he is also busy producing for other labels and artists. Most notable of which is the soon to be released ‘Harlem Groove’, coming out on Muak (Music) - the specialist record label extension of Muak (People Together).

With another special night in the offing, organiser Zaki Lais said: “This exclusive set from one of the best up and coming producers and DJs shows just what Muak is all about – bringing the best in real House music to the best party crowd. See you on the dance floor.”

Muak (People Together) takes place on Saturday 15th November from 10.00pm to 8.00am at Bar 54, 54 Commercial Street, London E1.

Admission is £5.00 with flyer before 11.30pm and £10.00 thereafter.

Nearest tubes: Aldgate East, Aldgate and Liverpool Street.
