The Hacker is a French techno scene leader, it's been six years since his last production with firend collaborator Miss Kitten, and now they're back... 'Homegrown EP' from the killer Kitten/Hacker combination is due to drop on Goodlife in July and ISSST brings the legend that is The Hacker to London for an exclusive live set. Expect a dark mish-mash of electro techno from the frenchman, alongside residents Bobby M and Kevin Griffiths.
Over in the Mulletover room, Stefan Goldmann, who has produced tracks for acclaimed labels like Âme's Innervisions imprint, Josh Wink's Ovum and Classic , brings lush, deep house to the table, with ample support from Mulletover main man Geddes, DDD's Simon Morrell and Neil Parkes from Birmingham's fantastic Below.
Mulletover – Purveyors of deep, techy grooves, Mulletover's secretive London parties have won much adulation for their “less is more” attitude, picking a small but expertly chosen line-up for each party, and avoiding the usual hyperbole usually associated with London's dance music scene. They've introduced the capital's clubbing cognoscenti to some of electronic music's most forward-thinking and talented DJs and producers, such as Samim and Tobi Neumann, as well as serving up sets from some of dance music's most revered figures like Ivan Smagghe. From their warehouse parties to parties in forests and in the hills of Ibiza , they can always be relied on for quality, underground house and techno music – and a seriously hedonistic atmosphere.
ISSST – Originally a vehicle for German electro dons Tiefschwarz to flaunt their wares in London, ISSST has become one of the capital's most talked-about and acclaimed parties of the last year, with zeitgeist-defining acts like The Klaxons, Black Strobe, Simian Mobile Disco and Shonky all laying waste to the ISSST dancefloor over the last few months. A good dose of electro, a pinch of indie and a smattering of techno combine to make the distinct, intense ISSST sound.
