Summer’s here and mulletover is taking it outside.
On Sunday May 27th (***Bank Holiday***), mulletover is holding a special day and night ‘Masked Ball’ party, starting at 2pm on Sunday and finishing at 2am on Monday morning. Joining Geddes will be guests including Cocoon’s Tobi Neumann, Will Saul (Simple Records), Hector (Phonica), Craig Torrance (Mood Music/Four:Twenty) and a very special surprise guest…
Tobi Neumann (www.cocoon.net), a driving force on the German electronic scene for ten years and signed to Cocoon’s impressive DJ roster, has played the Berlin Love Parade, Time Warp and May Day festivals in Germany, Cocoon in Ibiza and all the clubs that count world-wide. Last year he released ‘Tobi Neumann in the Mix: Flieder Lieder’ on Cocoon Recordings and has produced for labels including Chicks On Speed and 2Raumwohnung - including co-producing with Miss Kitten.
Will Saul is behind UK labels Simple Records (www.myspace.com/simplerecordsuk www.simplerecords.co.uk) and Aus Music (www.ausmusic.co.uk), home to artists Tam Cooper, MyMy, Precision Cuts, Phonique and Will himself (check his new ‘Sequential Circus’ release)… Alongside his recent remixes for Initial Cuts, Freerange and Dessous, Will is currently working on his ‘Simple Sounds’ LP/mix concept - a collection of his new productions and remixes of older productions from Dixon, Gui Borrato, 2020 Soundsystem and Putsch 79. Will’s label Simple holds a monthly residency at The End/AKA and a bi-monthly at Weekend in Berlin…
Geddes (www.myspace.com/stuartgeddes aka Rekleiner (www.myspace.com/rekleinermuzik) has been busy in the studio of late - forthcoming remixes include for Infant recordings (Elon’s ‘Tamingo’) and Matterform (Adultnapper and Holmar Filipsson’s ‘Flourescent’) as well as the next Rekleiner release ‘Dos Caminos’ coming in May on Connaisseur. On the DJ scale, forthcoming gigs include D Club in Lausanne, the Loft in Barcelona, mulletover in Ibiza, the Renaissance and TDK festivals in the UK and the Lake of Stars festival in Malawi…
Hector (http://www.myspace.com/hectorlaraza ) is welcomed back to play at mulletover for the second time this year. Currently managing to hold down regular gigs at Fabric, his own monthly night, ‘Sonic’, at the T Bar in Shoreditch and still be a friendly face behind the counter at London’s renowned Phonica records, he is fast becoming a main player on the London and international DJ circuit.
Craig Torrance (www.myspace.com/craigtorrancedjproducer ), signed to two of the finest underground house and techno labels - Moodmusic and Four:Twenty - is set to release his next EP ‘Shrinkage’ (including a Samim remix) on Four:Twenty in July and will release ‘Two Face’ on Mood Music later in the summer. His releases so far have gained support from Ewan Pearson, Tiefschwarz, Kiki, Anja Schneider, Dinky, Sebo K and Loco Dice. On the DJ scale, Torrance has gigs forthcoming for Bugged Out and Soma’s ‘Weegies on the beach’ party during Sonar in Barcelona.
