MMM have been catching the clubbing cognoscenti's eyes with their eclectically-tailored parties in London that mash-up house, dubstep, electro, hip-hop, baile funk, grime, DnB and more in some of London's more out-of-the-way party spaces. Who are the visionary types behind these tasty sounding little mash-ups? And what the hell is the Shoreditch Block Party? We must have some answers!
Global music magpies Radioclit have been mashing up the best in house, grime, hip-hop, disco, electro, crunk, kuduro, baile funk and more since they dropped their 'Careful Clit Clit' mix CD back in 2004, working with the likes of Bonde Do Role, M.I.A. and Switch in the process. We had a bit of banter with them ahead of their appearence at Man Make Music's Shoreditch Block Party on Sunday 23rd September in Lahndahn....

Music : All Music
This is a daytime event (e.g. starts late morning or early afternoon - see below for times).
London doesn't sound much better than this Reaching back to the late-80s to borrow some of the spirit of the DIY block parties of the Bronx and, as always, with one foot forward into the future, Man Make Music in association with Another Fine Mess bring you the SHOREDITCH BLOCK PARTY. Behind the Foundry lies a dormant concrete playground for some 500 people to gather and get down to some of the finest underground dance music around. Rubbing up all the wrong things in the right way like only the MMM crew know how. From the deep and twisted to the rowdy and raucous, back to the bootlegs and the classic bangers, anything goes at this all dayer in the heart of Hoxton... London doesn’t sound much better than this. The line-up will be as tight as you can expect from the MMM crew. The prestigious team talents of French turntablist extraordinaries - C2C - will be called upon, as baile funk heroes Radioclit also drop in to the DJ booth. Cutting edge fidget-bashy bassmentalist Detboi will be playing all things nasty and noisy and our favourite fire-starter, dubstepper N-Type will be there to crank up the bass for some earth-shaking dubstep. With a fully licenced bar, quality food all day and a solar powered cinema tent showing short flicks, including exclusives from Chanel 4's FourDocs. Forget Brooklyn in the 80s, forget Cool Herc and his merry band of foot loose break dancers; this is the east end of London in the 21st century, and we're bringing the doof with larger than large systems and bass in the city. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Man Make Music in association with Another Fine Mess present... SHOREDITCH BLOCK PARTY @ A Secret Outdoor Space In the heart of Shoreditch Sunday 23rd September 2pm - 10pm fidget - jackin - b-more - electro - dubstep - techno - doof Radioclit C2C Beatorrent (4 x World DMC Team Champs) Detboi (On the Brink) N-Type (FWD) Jozif (Another Fine Mess / Wrong) Man Make Music DJs Plus... Projector Tank - London's only solar powered street cinema They've been sharing the light around UK festivals, beaches, underground car parks and other forgotten corners throughout the summer and are rounding it off with a day long knees up at the Shoreditch Block Party. The Kino Mobil will be showing a brew of moonshine, digitals shorts, classic animation and visual stutter. And by special request they will be showcasing some of the latest FourMinute wonders from FourDocs, Channel 4's documentary channel. By evening the legendary cinematic army tent will up the tempo with DJs and VJs, providing an intimate second space - think of it like a house party within the block party! Featuring Another Fine Mess' VJ extraordinaires, TWO LONG PEOPLES. Nearest tube: Old Street £8 in advance, £10 on the day info@manmakemusic.com Advance tickets available here
