Music : All Music
This is a daytime event (e.g. starts late morning or early afternoon - see below for times).
NOTE THE DATE CHANGE TO SATURDAY, AUGUST 15TH
Kodachrome film was the first successful colour film, introduced in 1935. Now, in 2009, Kodak has discontinued the film due to low sales, and expensive costs. There is now only one lab in the world that is certified by Kodak to develop it (don't worry - the processing is included in the film price)
To mark the end of this amazing film, we're putting on a Spot Around the City - using Kodachrome!
Meetup is from 1:00 PM on SATURDAY, August 15th 2009 at the London Eye. From there we plan on working our way around London, past icons old and new, whatever seems to captivate us - there is no set plan (for now)
Everyone is welcome and I am encouraging spotters and pro-spotters alike to attend as its a great chance to meet each other, and learn.
If you have a 35mm film camera, please bring it along - but if not - there will be plenty on hand
Either way, please
bring your own Kodachrome-64 film You can get a roll from Jessops (call ahead first) or www.7dayshop.com (out of stock but are getting more so keep checking)
Stock is very limited and will go quickly. Expect to pay up to £13 a roll of 36, and this includes processing
See you all on the 15th!
